General Film
Seeing Zoe Saldana doing T-Mobile commercials the same year she won an Oscar feels like the ultimate nail in the coffin of Emilia Perez’s relevance.

I don’t even think OBAA was in my top 5 best films this year.

I’d put Sinners, Train Dreams, Sentimental Value, Frankenstein and maybe even Eddington above it.

But what do I know?

Good sir, you always get it.

I love PTA's work, but I have so many misgivings about this film. All it does is reinforce stereotypes and provides a fantasy that certain white men have about black women and it just really, really put a bad taste in my mouth.

Just goes to show why Hollywood loves it and wants to award it. :o

Lotta weird pairings in that bunch.

Only ones that stand out IMO are Corenswet/Bailey (for… reasons) and MBJ/Plemons (Friday Night Lights reunion).
