🏈 NFL - Game On

To be frank, I don't think Shadeur will do any better. I think he probably is more talented than Gabriel, but this team is just DOA. Stick a fork in them. They're done. I have seen dead man walking teams many times as a Browns fan. Where it is clear this is heading to a divorce and that the plot has been lost and it's just a matter of getting there. This feels like Stefanski is gone and we are just waiting for it to be official season.

Yeah I think this will be Stefanski's last season regardless. I think they should give Jim Bob Cooter from Indianapolis a look in the offseason. He's worked with some great QB's over the years(Manning/Stafford). I think him coming in could help the QB situation.

Others could be Brian Flores from Minnesoata, Klayton Adams from Dallas and if you want to throw the wild card name in the hat....

Bill Belichick. The rumors say he's done at North Carolina. I presonally think he should retire, but the Browns would probably look at him if he's available and he wants to return to the NFL. Not my first choice, but we all know the Browns are gonna Browns lol

My personal choice is Brian Flores. I think for the AFC North, you need a hard nosed coach and this team has had discipline issues since I can remember. You need a guy that won't put up with it and is willing to make a team that can out rough the Steelers and Ravens.

I would also if the Ravens fire Harbaugh give him a blank check

I love Brian Flores as well. I really hope he gets his shot as a head coach in the NFL again. With all the legal stuff going on with him and the NFL, I hope it doesn't turn teams off from looking at him. I really think he could be what Dan Campbell has been for the Lions.

Flores is ripe for another opportunity

Is it just my feed or do the playbacks of TNF look blurry? The main feed looks fine, but when the camera is on the analysts and the playbacks, it looks blurry.

How are the Jags 4-1? Truly in disbelief because that QB like hardcore sucks. He's wretched to the point of literally stumbling into a win.
Maybe I just haven't watched Lawrence enough as there are a lot of games on at the same time and the Jags aren't generally a team I have that much interest in. When I've watched him play, he has made some really nice throws to his WRs.

Given that the Jags/Rams is the only early game today, I've had the chance to watch him play for an entire game (well, 2 1/2 QTRs) and was surprised by how many errant throws he's made and his receivers have dropped a lot of the good ones.

That's a long way of saying you might just be right. :funny:

EDIT: Although, to be fair, it's pretty wet out there, but that doesn't seem to bother Stafford.

Admittedly, it's not like I've watched a ton of Lawrence either, as I'm not wasting my time watching the Jags consistently. :hehe:

He's definitely got all the talent of an elite guy, but anytime I watch him play he just seems like a stiff. He plays so pedestrianly.

He doesn't have the constitution for it. Once he got to the NFL, his devil may care style no longer worked, doubt creeped in, and he started thinking more and more. It's why he looks gun shy a lot and he tries to throw through it and he looks lost.

A lot of this is on Clemson, who is seemingly terrible at developing players. Lawrence didn't get an ounce better while there.

Well, we certainly agree about that. LOL

The thing that separates the greats in super important positions (pitcher or QB) is consistency. I'm watching Matthew Stafford and, even at his age, he's just throwing dimes out there in the rain. Everyone misses "some" throws, but when he's got some time, he almost never misses. Same thing with watching Blake Snell the other night; the Brewers might as well have gone up to the plate with blindfolds on. He was spotting 3 or 4 change ups in a row and they still couldn't hit the ball.

I get the sense that the Rams have dialed back again late in the game. They seem to do that a lot and that's why they've lost the 2 games they did. It's not a good habit to get into.

@Ninjablade WTH is up with your Pats and what the EFF happened to "My team sucks?" :funny:

I was telling people since he was in college that I couldn't see Maye lasting past the 2nd pick and I still think he's every bit as good, and maybe better, than any QB in that very, VERY strong class. The dude just has "it". You guys were gonna get a nice QB no matter what, but I wouldn't take that pick back for just about anything. I know it's early, but if you guys can field some good teams, I think that guy has HOF written all over him. Just stay healthy dude.

BTW, I am NOT a Pats fan and will never forgive anyone involved in the "tuck rule" play......ever. :funny:

It's crazy the complete turnaround they've had since week 3 where they looked incredibly inept. Maye is playing like an MVP, Diggs has been tremendous which has elevated all the guys in the room, the OL has been much better than I thought they would. They're kind of the opposite team I was expecting, where it'd be a good running team that plays elite defense. Meanwhile their actual run game kinda sucks and their defense is pretty soft.

Vrabel has them bought in, which is important. They definitely have a culture, which they haven't had in like half a decade. Which pairs well with the perfect storm with their soft ass schedule. These last 3 weeks have me changing my tune. If they're going to play like this? They should be hosting Wild Card weekend at the very least.

@P Supreme

So, riddle me this......

The Giants have 3 timeouts and there's about 27 seconds left on the clock at the end of the 1st half and the Broncos have a 3rd and a mile after they sack Nix at their own 14, why in the EFF don't the G's call a timeout, stop the clock, and possibly get a shot at a field goal at the end of the half?!?!?!? You could have the ball somewhere around mid-field with a couple of plays and one timeout.

At the worst, Denver gets a 1st down with no timeouts and maybe 5 seconds on the clock when they run their next play. At best, Denver fails, you stop the clock again on 4th down, and who the hell knows what happens?

I don't get letting the clock run down to halftime. If someone has a good reason for doing that, I'd love to hear it.....

EDIT: in other news, Green Bay gets the ball back with 7 seconds left in the half, run one play, call a timeout, and get a long 61 yd field goal.

Colts are the best team in the league right now. Hands and shoulders above the rest of the AFC. They should coast to the number one seed.

@CaptainWagner and @DarthSkywalker I look forward to seeing you guys in the AFC Championship game like old times :o

I respect the attempted jinx. :o

Chefs are winning the Super Bowl again. But I can't wait for Daniel Jones' MVP ceremony!

Ravens will somehow catch those fraud Steelers.

Legit could see the Pats being the surprise this year. Drake Maye is built right.
If anyone is catching the Steelers, its Flacco and the Bengals, which is objectively the funniest possible outcome for every team involved
