A little bit more work on the animation tech, and I would be down with using this style going forward. Still needs a little work on the quiet scenes, but it sings during the action.

So, I am torn between 3000 Years of Longing and the Invitation this weekend.

Between those two it would be 3000 Years of Longing for me, no contest. But then I’m not a horror gal at all, so The Invitation holds no appeal for me.

I'm seeing The Invitation, 3000 Years of Longing, and Breaking this weekend.

Although with The Invitation... my expectations are low because it does look like a knockoff version of Ready or Not.

Also, I did hear some incredible word of mouth for Barbarian.

Looking forward to Barbarian after seeing the trailer a few weeks ago. Probably going to see The Invitation this week if I get a chance, but might need to wait.

Abel Ferrara's commentary track for his flick 'King of New York' is one of the funniest and greatest from a director. I can't post some of the stuff, but easy to look up on yt. I mean, his opener line is him telling you that he got paid five thousand to do the track, he then proceeds to laugh hysterically whenever Steve Buscemi shows up.

The Invitation wasn't too bad. Perfectly fine by the numbers horror flick. Probably would've been better around September, be a nice little start to the spooky season.

There is something terribly haunting about Zoe Lund's performance here. She lived a similar terrible experience, she used that trauma in this performance and it shows. Certain actors have this ''it'' factor/look or call it a vibe about them, what ever 'it' is, she had a handful. She wrote most of Bad Lieutenant,even helping direct in various scenes. Simply haunting and beautiful. Anya Taylor Joy reminds me a lot of her, not just physically, but as a what could've been.

I've kept a list ever since I can remember and go back to it yearly to see if it changes/new add ons etc, no ties, left a lot of great ones out, but this has been pretty consistent for years now.

Yeah, nailing down a top 10 is kinda hard. Outside of the first two, the rest are in random order, and are just the first 10 that came to mind.
