12 reason to keep getting marvel titles

I'd drop Ultimate X-Men, because I just recently dropped it myself. Robert Kirkman is a good writer but he's not doing anything for me on UXM. The Vaughn run may have spoiled me. :o

And considering I dropped Black Panther when Romita Jr. stopped drawing, I'd drop that too.

And if I were you I'd drop New Avengers too, which I'll be doing after the Luke Cage Civil War issue.

Cleaning up space for some more kick ass titles.

Ultimate X-Men for sure. I love Kirkman, but I hate the Magician, and it just made UXM seem like a bad fanfic.

Personally, I'm dumping the entire Ultimates line as soon as the recent story arcs finish.

Youre starting to sound like me, stop it.

i'm currently at a cross road in realation to buy comicbooks mainly marvel comics
i don't have enough money at the moment to get all of my comics
so i need help with deciding which marvel comics to drop for the moment

black panther
ultimates
ultimate x-men
ultimate fanastic four
young avengers
avengers

any suggestions on what to keep and what to drop from the weekly shopping

As much as I like the book, I'd say drop black panther, you have to be a hardcore fan of the character to keep reading that because the title is really hit or miss most of time.

I consider myself a hardcore fan of the character and dropped it because of the horrendous portrayal of the character.

I like the book. But if I had to drop something it would definitely be on the chopping block. It's good, but it's not that good. And despite how much I like BP as a character, I refuse to read anything I'm not enjoying out of some silly sense of loyalty to a piece of fiction.

Drop NA, Ultimate X-men and FF.
Keep BP, YA, and the ultimates.

I wouldn't call it horrendous, I think it's just not what anyone was expecting. Everyone was planning on seeing what Priest did get built upon and instead Hudlin erased alot of that and turned the character into Priest's "Happy Pants" Panther with a very very very little bit of Priest's "Regular" panther thrown. I was enjoying the book until the wedding arch started but now it's hard to be to keep interet in it.

::clap clap clap::

only 1 reason: Reading all the story arcs is like watching a horrible car crash in slow motion. It's bad, horrible and devoid of any value...but you can't turn away :P

Really only reading Iron Man (not great, but he's always been my #1 hero), Moon Knight and Thunderbolts now (Waiting for a Young Avengers TPB). everything else seems to be just fanboy/writer fluff.

"artic winds....MAKE ICE!!!!!!!!!!" damn i hated her in the cartoons

everyone seems to hate black panther?

trying. to hide. childish... humour. failing, failing, failing.

"you racists" :p

soz, had to be done. sigh, i can feel the flames now:rolleyes:

I'd still be getting Black Panther if Romita Jr. stayed on the title. There's something about Hudlin's dialogue that bugs the hell out of me. I just don't think that Wakanda people would talk the way he's written them. Unless I missed the memo someplace. :o

speaking of black panther, i saw an ad this week for the ultimates2 with the ultimate black panther, his costume is crap looking

The title of this thread confuses me, "12 reason to keep getting marvel titles". I click and it somebody trying to decide what titles to drop and there aren't even 12 titles on the list. What?!?!

Drop marvel and pick up DC.

But seriously, drop Ult after the next two, Panther should be dropped, Avengers too.
