What is your favorite thing about living in Texas?
Well, Austin is a nice little town. I love that there's an abundance of used record stores, thrift shops and Half-Price books. There's also a lot of little local eateries and shops that I frequent.
What is your least favorite thing about living in Texas?
I'm a non-football lover, atheist, openly gay, mixed race, and a bleeding heart liberal. Do you know what that's like outside of Austin? In Austin I am one of many. Outside of city limits...**** gets scary real quick, son.
Well, I respect you for coming out at such a young age regardless.
I'm also one of those stubbornly independent people who forges ahead at all costs. Until I hit wall.

How do you deal with stress?

A few different ways:
Alone time -- read a little bit, play a game that lets me destroy things
Angry music
Happy-go-lucky music
Scream and swear in my car. That one really helps.
And, uh, "alone" time.... :O

Post a picture of your handwriting:

Sorry that it took me a while to get around to it, but here it is!

Those are all good ways.

I believe we've talked about this before but what are your thoughts on gay pride parades and festivals? Have you ever been to one? If so, what was your experience like? If not, do you hope to go to one?

My teachers always thought I was a girl whenever I forgot to write my name on my pieces of paper. I even remember once that my teacher went "I have one with no name on it. Probably a girl based on the writing."

I raised my hand and said "I think I'm the only one who didn't get my paper back."

And then she said "Oh...sorry..."

Let's break this down:

I believe we've talked about this before but what are your thoughts on gay pride parades and festivals? Do what you like. I don't require a parade to feel safe and secure in my being and sexuality. I am more than my genitals and sexuality. I think too many gay people get hung up on it.
Have you ever been to one? I have not.
If so, what was your experience like? See above.
If not, do you hope to go to one? I don't feel strongly either way. If I go one year, I'll go. If I never go to one, I'll have never went. It's not something I would regret or chastise myself over.

What is your favorite Tim Burton movie?

:cmad:

Damn you all and your Sophie's Choice style questions!

Ugh...

Ed Wood, Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands are definitely my Top Three.

Who do you think is the most overrated actor?

Who do you think is the most underrated actor?

Who do you think is the most overrated actress?

Who do you think is the most underrated actress?

Who do you think is the most overrated actor? For every performance that Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley just nail and knock out of the park, there's about ten more where they're sleepwalking and not even trying. At a certain point, your Oscar win becomes a joke.

Who do you think is the most underrated actor? Guy Pearce has delivered so many utterly perfect performances in his career. Why did he never become huge and a household name?

Who do you think is the most overrated actress? Will someone please make Julia Roberts go away. And stay away. Please hand that Oscar back right this minute. You too Gwyneth Paltrow. And Sandra Bullock. And Halle Berry. And...

Who do you think is the most underrated actress? Sarah Polley. She deserves to have a big, fantastic career. At least she's getting props for her writing/directing.

I love Guy Pearce.

What is your favorite Guy Pearce movie?

Hi my name is (Insert your username here), you might remember me on SHH for such things/threads as?

What is your biggest regret and if you could relive that moment what would you have done differently?

Tell the story of your first love, not necessarily your greatest love.

What’s your biggest geek collectible?

If you were a celebrity, what would you demand in your dressing room?

What was your first?
Tape/CD
DVD/Blu-Ray
Automobile
Video Game

How did you find out about the birds and the bees?

Who has been your biggest influence and why?

Where is your next vacation spot?

If you moved tomorrow, outside of family or friends, etc. what would you miss most about the place you were living?

What do you think of non-celebrities having Twitter accounts? Innocent people just trying to keep everyone else updated on their lives? Or egomaniacs?

I don't understand Twitter. Honestly. I mean, if you're a celebrity, that's one thing. But random little 12 yr olds having one? Why? We're creating some kind of monstrous generation that thinks every thought and minor accomplishment is worthy of being broadcast and given to attention. A generation that thinks it deserves recognition and fame for...nothing.

Of course, I could be over-analyzing.
I love Guy Pearce.

L.A. Confidential. Duh.

I think you're spot on man.

You mentioned that you're a liberal ( :yay::up: ), how do your political views compare to those of your family?

Hi my name is (Insert your username here), you might remember me on SHH for such things/threads as? The X3 Off Topic thread. JP and I ruled that mutha! And the original, and still the greatest, SHH! Gaysters thread.

What is your biggest regret and if you could relive that moment what would you have done differently? Regrets are dumb. What's done is done, and can never be undone. Why focus on something like that?

Tell the story of your first love, not necessarily your greatest love. Oh God. His name was Andy. I was a freshman, he was a junior. I wanted him to desperately like me and validate my existence. It wasn't a nice or pretty time.

What’s your biggest geek collectible? This ridiculous boxset for Bonnie & Clyde. Or the MLA Tennessee Williams collections of his plays. Or maybe it's the James Dean or Greta Garbo boxsets that I own... I have a lot of geek stuff. I love it all.

But nothing like you were probably thinking about.

If you were a celebrity, what would you demand in your dressing room? It must be pet friendly. I travel with my pet(s) :o

What was your first?
Tape/CD No Doubt -- Tragic Kingdom (CD). TLC -- CrazySexyCool (tape).
DVD/Blu-Ray I believe that it was Dinosaur... That sounds right, anyway.
Automobile 94 Nissan Altima
Video Game Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis

How did you find out about the birds and the bees? I don't remember. I just remember being not terribly shocked by the revelations in health class. Well, except for certain things. I think I learned about it at far too young an age.

Who has been your biggest influence and why? Debbie Harry. Because she's the most amazing human being on the planet. I aspire to be that avant-chic. She's just so effortless.

Where is your next vacation spot? Vacation? I don't know what that is. :yay:

If you moved tomorrow, outside of family or friends, etc. what would you miss most about the place you were living? All of the dogs. I love them so much. I'd still my little baby, but I wouldn't have the old-as-hell Lab or the chihuahua that I helped rescue.

You mentioned that you're a liberal ( :yay::up: ), how do your political views compare to those of your family?
I'm from a poor, working-class, very blue collar Mexican-American family in central-Los Angeles.

Take a wild guess.

Only my step-dad was a Republican. And he was one of those Fox News-watching, unthinking ones that just absorbed the party lines and never truly thought about the information being presented to him.

Why do you think FOX News is such a popular network? Is it because people truly do agree with their standing? Or because everyone loves to watch a train wreck?

Both. There will never be a shortage of people gullible enough to believe whatever tripe is thrown their way. That goes for both sides of the political spectrum.

And, of course, there are people who just like to stare mouth agape and ready to squawk and cry foul over the outrageous things that are being said/done.

Have any movies ever made you cry? If so, which ones?
