15-Year-Old Wrestling Thread is STOKED That Shawn Michaels Kicked It in the Face

I just caught up on Impact, I thought Roode vs Angle suffered from being rushed, those guys need 30 minutes if you want them to deliver a 2 out of 3 falls match, instead all the stip did was make everything feel disjointed.

The feast of fired segment makes a late play for worst of the year.....If it was any more bush league it would be a European Vagina convention.

The storyline that ran throughout the show and the main event were the epitome of what is wrong with TNA, they tried to muddy the water to such an extent that Magnus win didn't look like a heel turn, it looked like they helped him win when Hardy wouldn't be nice to Dixie, it was a total mess and the silly gimmick match was once again TNA trying to reinvent the wheel.
I might steal that one. You don't mind, right? :oldrazz:

Such language ... from a moderator no less! Shame! Shame! :argh:

Brilliant, mate. :lmao:

I got tears in my eyes. X D

In the discussion about the last time the World Heavyweight title was important, I think we neglected to mention one other person: Edge. His pursuit of the title always made it seem important. He acted as if he couldn't live without it. He elevated it.

This discussion got me thinking, it must have been easier to work on the fly years ago when the moves that most guys used were so much more basic than some of the stuff they do today.

The other thing that came to mind is something I've been thinking about for a while, a great worker and a great performer are not one in the same.

Interesting. Let's delve into this. Because I always thought they were the same. But maybe they aren't. HBK is a great worker. Hogan was a great performer. Is that what you were thinking?

I thought Sheamus had a great run with it. His 2/3 Falls match with Daniel Bryan, his first match with Del Rio at MITB, and his title defense against Big Show at HIAC 2012 was freaking awesome!

Holy ****, did Cole just tell a viewing audience of children that Santa isn't real?

AJ (in regards to Tamina's kick to Nikki's face on Raw): "If you watch that in slow motion, you can see the exact moment where she forgets math."

:lmao:

You can pinpoint the exact post where the Wrestling Thread forgets math

:lmao: I bet Punk fed her that line backstage.

I will continue to say that the WHC was not treated with the regard it deserved despite having good feuds/matches. Having a so called top title that can't main event is dumb. It was stupid when WCW did it and it's still stupid.

Seriously, if Darren Young become a vegan, then he'd be Phil's worst nightmare.

Potential return spoiled...

WrestleZone reader Donald sent over this link to www.unlvtickets.com, a Las Vegas ticket vendor website that handles events for the Thomas & Mack Center, Sam Boyd Stadium and Cox Pavilion. On February 16th, 2014, WWE is holding a live event at the Thomas & Mack Center. UNLVTickets.com is promoting the "special return of 'The Animal' Batista".

It's been reported lately that a Batista WWE return is possible, and that WWE would like to have the former WWE Champion involved at WrestleMania 30. While this doesn't neccessarily confirm Batista will be returning to WWE, it certainly lends itself to the rumors.

February 16th is a Sunday, so it's highly unlikely this would actually be the official "return" of Batista. Yet, it would still be a plausible and accurate way to promote it due to it being Batista's return to that actual venue.

The first time we see Batista return to WWE would most likely be on a televised event or pay per view. The Royal Rumble, of course, is just a few weeks prior to that event and is always a popular spot for major returns to take place.

Batista left WWE in May of 2010. Since his departure, he's been focusing on an acting career. He also competed in, and won, one mixed martial arts fight.

Here is a screen shot of the page promoting Batista's page, in case it "mysteriously" gets taken down in the next 24 hours.

With Batista possibly coming back, who do you see him feuding with?

Show should start any minute!! Briefly met Chris Hero and ACH when I got to the building. Really awesome guys.

SD was a decent show, the opening promo segment was strong, Big E vs Swagger was solid and The Rhodes vs The Wyatt's with Bryan run-in was really good.

Punk & Cena vs The Shield was a fun main event with the crowd really into it. The way they dismantled Punk and Cena at the end was classic Shield and it was interesting to see Big E get such a huge moment making the save for the top two guys in the company, although I did wonder why Punk and Big E didn't bother to help poor Cena off the floor.

I might steal that one. You don't mind, right? :oldrazz:

Go for it. :D

I was actually thinking more along the lines of The Rock, not a great worker in the sense of leading a match or coming up with a lot of new ideas within to tell the story, but set up the comeback for him and he'd nail it like the star he is. HBK was a guy that combined both, Bryan is doing the same. Hogan is a guy I'd class as a great entertainer and a smart worker who knew how to do as little as possible lol.

I'd actually class Angle as similar to The Rock, set him up for the big sequences and he'll execute them with the second best technique I've ever seen, but leave him to lead the match and it usually goes the same way, into overkill.

This feels like the E saying these two are 'our' future guys...

Yeah, I was thinking that. I would have loved to see Cena and Punk's expressions on the floor lol. I definitely think there'll be a big moment in the Rumble where Reigns and Big E finally clash.

In truth I think WWE need to keep in mind that what they want and what the fans react to are not one in the same, personally I like both but I don't see Big E as having true top guy potential.
