Why do you assume overpowering someone is necessary to stab them in the right place?

All she needed to do is get the guy off-guard, get near enough, and thrust the blade into either his gut, chest, neck, or jaw, and then finish him off.

And since she's not exactly a formidible-looking person, it's not hard to believe she could pull off the deception aspect.

Exactly. A knife is a weapon of finesse and decisive strikes, not overwhelming trauma, like a bat or axe.

The more I think about it, if I was going to kill someone with a knife, I'd probably give them a painful wound somewhere in the collarbone area first, then a deep horizontal cut to the thigh (to sever the femoral artery and sciatic nerve) further incapacitating them. From there it'd depend on whether or not I'd want them to suffer and bleed out.

You're talking about this girl like she was seemingly dangerous, which is clearly not the case. If she's even halfway intelligent she could find a way to get close enough to **** those guys up without them realizing it.

Besides, not every guy is a tank that can withstand a stabbing or two in vital areas and fight back.
