Abigail Loraine Hensel and Brittany Lee Hensel (born 7 March 1990, Carver County, Minnesota, United States (thats underage guys.) They have a myspace, but due to some very cruel people out there on the internets they have it set to private.

They must have unbelievable coordination if each person controls one half....for walking and such......hmm although if their spines meet up (which obviously looks like it does) they should both be able to control below that point.....

When I see something like this, I'm always asking myself who's actually the one controlling the body? Are each in charge of one half of their body? Or can both controll all limbs? And if they are, what happens if both want grab/do something with the right/left arm at the same time?

Awesome avatar Nathan, wheres that from if you dont mind me asking?

Secret Ending from Kingdom Hearts 2.

That's why I didn't see it in the game.

That's cool, looks like a future Batman or Batman Beyond.

Each of the twins manages one side of their conjoined body, controlling her own arm and leg, and receives no sensation from the other side.

They successfully passed their driver license exam, both the written and driving tests. They had to take the tests twice, once for each twin. Both control the steering wheel, while Abby controls the pedals and shifter, and Brittany controls the turn signal.

Their brains and spinal cords are completely separate. It could be that their brains can coordinate motor activities via the solar plexus and similar nerve networks in the abdomen which are linked to both spinal cords and vagus nerves from both brains.

(all from the wikipedia site listed above - but I also saw the TLC documentary that said the same)

Thats kinda weird, and slightly creepy. Much as I'm trying not to twitch when I see them, I can't really help it.

I can't imagine what its like to never be alone.

Part of me says that they must- I mean, how else do they co-ordinate to walk and stuff? They're in the same body, its possible.

That would suck at times. Especially if one had a song stuck in her head.

Do they know what the other is thinking?

Apparently not... because they do take seperate tests for some of their subjects and come up with completely seperate answers. I suspect that when one of them is trying to use a muscle that's shared the other can "feel" it being activated and doesn't interfere.

What if they did interfere. That would be funny.

Haha. I'm picturing them getting in a fight with each other. LoL.

I'm a bad person. :csad:
