2 scumbags shot baby in face. :(

Exacty. Death is too quick. The prisoners will make their time in prison hell.

Depends. Remember what happened to Dahmer, but then again, I wouldn't blame them at all, I wouldn't want to be stuck in a prison where there is a guy known to eat men.

isn't that pretty much the norm in prison?...

Yeah, I would get anywhere near Dahmer.

How can you possibly live with yourself after committing such an evil act?

Sadly, news like this is becoming more and more frequent :(

Eh, sadly, I have seen things and known about things like this since I can remember, it's just now, the media is exploiting it. One of the worst crimes I can think of that happened about 10 miles from me in the early 90's, was a woman was carjacked and shot and left for dead on the street. At the same time, the perps drove off, not realizing she had a baby in the back seat. They used the car to rob several stores, and when the police were finally on their case, they apparently got out of the car with the baby in the babyseat, and threw the baby over a bridge into some water as a diversion so they can get away. They did get away, and the cops on the scene did the right thing, jumped the bridge to get the baby, and the baby lived, but still, I found the whole thing horrible.

There are just no limits to how far people can go and it's sickening. I hope these two suffer some horrible fate.

They probably come from a rough background, not that it's an excuse, but there does exist a culture that encourages these kinds of things to happen. Nobody exists in a vacuum.

I'm not sure what kind of rough background you're referring to, but I don't know of any culture that encourages baby killing.

Certain cultures may encourage a lot of bad things, but as was somewhat mentioned earlier, there is typically still a certain code amongst even some of the toughest criminals that you just don't cross certain lines.

I...just...I can't think of the words right now:cmad:

How do you know? Did you watch an episode of Law of Order? :woot: Have you been to all of the prisons and asked them? :woot:

No, I'm just being a dick......... Obviously. :oldrazz:

You know, I was just having a conversation on another forum about Steubenville, and how I'd put myself in jail if my sons ever did such a thing, I'd be so wracked with guilt. Someone took offense and said that you can't judge her - she had a son who broke the law (no details) and you can't say that it's all her fault he broke the law.

I think even she'd agree she'd put herself in jail if her son ever shot a baby in the face. :o

If I had witnessed it I would probably be dead myself because that would be the only way that they could have stopped me from brutally ending there short pathetic lives.

yeah, I would probably be in jail as well.

I think this thread should be closed and buried. This is just terrible, and it's so sad just to see it

Something my friend said and I myself know how easy it is to accidentally discharge a handgun.

The boy could have pointed the gun at the baby not meaning to actually shoot it but pulled the trigger by accident.

Hear me out and know I'm not excusing him! Double action triggers are incredibly light when the hammer is cocked and the reason you are always told to never rest your finger on the trigger is because accidental discharges are incredibly easy. A trained professional knows to never place a finger on the trigger unless they mean to shoot. A 17 year old fool would not be thinking about that. I can easily see this 17 year old wanting to look tough and scare the mother, points the gun at the kid with his finger on the trigger, and his finger depressing the trigger in the ruckus.

Obviously the ****head never should have been pointing the gun anywhere near a child for any reason but this kid isn't very bright. Either way a child is dead and it is tragic. I just wanted to say that the kids intention may not have been to actually shoot the baby.

It doesn't matter. He had a gun. He had a freakin gun dude. the flag should go up there. Whether or not he had the intention of firing the gun, he still pointed a freakin gun at a baby.

Whether or not his pulling of the trigger was intentional is irrelevant, because at the end of the day, a scumbag kid help a gun up to a baby.

Notice that I said either way a child is dead. Of course he must pay. I'm just pointing out that the reason we can't make sense out of someone murdering a baby is because he may not have been intending to hurt the baby.

I'm just trying to make sense out of a child killing a baby. It makes more sense that he accidentally shot the baby rather than him thinking "I'm gonna shoot this baby."

And motive is always important. He set out to rob someone but at what point does a 17 year old think I need to murder this baby. Its far more likely he was trying to scare the mother and accidentally shot the baby. Of course I could be wrong and he is just a sociopathic baby murderer.

Your absolutely right either way a baby is dead. But for my own peace of mind I really need to hear that him pulling the trigger was an accident. Cause the idea that this 17 year old willingly pulled the trigger on a baby is just...well its ****ed up beyond belief.

Sometimes we just can't make sense out of things. But I agree, it might have happened that way. We may never know though, and for that, the kid deserves everything coming to him, because he shouldn't have been so stupid in the beginning. However, if he did intend to kill the baby, then I sincerely believe there's a special place in hell for him.

Regardless of intent--and I see where you're coming from, Marvolo--there should (and will) be consequences for deciding to point a gun at a child. Even if the conflict didn't escalate into the child's death.

If these two kids are the ones who did it, I hope to God they get what's coming to them. **** these kids.

and this point the intent is clear. he shot once into the ground, once at the mother's head (which grazed her ear), once at the mother's leg, then walked around to the stroller and fired once into the baby's face. this was no accident. he intended to shoot them both.

I just hope they "accidentally" get placed into the general populace, and the guards happen to look the other way. maybe this can "accidentally" happen during shift changes. and it can "accidentally" happen every day for the next 30 years,if they last that long.

Christ almighty... I just wow it takes a special kind of bastard to do that and I too think there is a special special circle in hell for this monster.

this is one case where anyone who complains about these 2 prick's civil rights and any abuses they receive in jail needs to get *****slapped. HARD.

You must have not seen this little nugget

"He shot me in the ear and grazed my head... and then he shot me in the leg," said Sherry West. "Then he walked over and shot my baby in the face. He must have died instantly."

I always love how creative you people get with these punishments.
