I am officially on suicide watch right now. : ( It's gonna take me a while to get over this one. Simply put, the Mavs choked away a championship and at the end of the day, they have no one else to blame but themselves. I am absolutely sick to my stomach right now! Have to give credit where it's due though, Miami took advantage of all the Mavs mistakes and they are a deserving champion. Congratulations Miami Heat: 2005-2006 NBA Champions!

I agree that they choked Games 3 and 6 away. But Games 4 and 5 couldn't be avoided, as the officials made sure Miami won those games.

When you have Tim Legler, Greg Anthony, and Stephen A. Smith talk about that the Mavs got jobbed in Games 4 and 5, you know something is wrong and something needs to change.

Most of the time Tim, Greg, and Stephen tend to avoid the officials talk, but they definitely said it and didn't back down either. Maintaining a double digit lead has always been one of the Mavericks problems though.

Hopefully next season they'll get better and learn to play smarter.

I'll congratulate the Heat fans; but the Heat team; however, do not and will never have my respect. Right now, their title has an asterisk as far as I'm concerned.

That franchise really misses Jerry West. There's no way that duo should have ever been broken up over something as petty as what went on. You're talking about a guaranteed title contender every year and it went to hell because no one could manage that personal dynamic like West did when he was there.

And yes, I am thankful for that happening. :D

To Miami Heat Fans,

As a lot of you here know I am a huge Knick fan.... even as they have become rat ****. At first I didn't want Miami to win because I still consider the Heat arch rivals.... but then I realized it's been damn near 6 years since our teams beat each other up like baboons. So I'm here to say congratulations on winning the NBA title. You guys not only deserve it but earned it.. Enjoy.

J.... I'm man enough to congratulate the opponent....

Even when the rivalry was insane.

Hey put it this way.... everyday I wished something happened to Jordan during those Knicks/Bulls series... and I sacrificed an animal everytime they won. :( .. out of spite.

That's good stuff. Even though I had absolutely nothing to do with it, I'm damn happy. :D

Man, that was some serious basketball. I still remember Van Gundy bouncing on the floor. I remember literally falling on the floor when Houston hit that game-winning shot.

I think everyone had a little vendetta against Jordan. The Heat won 61 games one year and I thought we had a shot. The Bulls thrashed them 4-1. It's like it wasn't fair when he was playing. He held up a slew of Hall of Famers from their rings.

j, post some pics of everything going on in miami this week! i wouldn't be surprised if there's a riot of debauchery (as opposed to every other night in miami)

J.. go burn down some palm trees..... go set fire to those tacky pink houses in and around miami.....

push old people out of the way.

I moved from Miami a few years ago for school. Go Web Go might have some good stuff. I know he was out celebrating. I've had to make do by talking to people back home and looking at these...

True. I don't know if you read the Sports Guy at espn.com, but he has a great article on what refs were assigned to "key" games for Miami in this series. It is a great read. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/060620 The cat really knows the NBA and broke down the ref issue better than anyone I have read.

Now did I start insulting you first? The fact that you're acting this way proves you're not a class act. I didn't start any profanity, name calling, or snap at all, I simply congratulated the Heat and their fans while sticking with my opinion that this series was rigged.

Both teams worked hard to get to where they were, it's just the league and the officials helped the team with the two most popular stars. It's my belief and I'm sticking to it, nowhere am I calling you names or being immature.

The fact that you're acting like this gives Mister J, Go Web Go, Cmill, and Samurai Black a real bad name. They're class acts and not going on about hating the Mavs.

Look I have said what I needed to say. Mark Cuban, fans like yourself, & the media playing into this "controversy" have disgusted me this whole playoffs. As I said before I now hate the Mavs. Lets just agree to disagree.

I wonder if that will prompt Malone and Miller to come out of retirement and join the Miami Heat?

I am wondering that myself! I wonder if Miami will become like a place for people like Barkley, Malon, Stockton, etc. to go to finally get theres. That would be crazy!

Funny you should mention Barkley. He has mentioned coming back on numerous occasions.

I think Stockton is done for good though.

Malone, I could see him coming back and trying to get a ring. Especially now that Payton finally has his.

Finny, I feel the exact opposite.

Your the first Knicks fan to give the Heat props:o ........Being Lotto bound has made you delousional

Dwyane Wade is the most clutch player in the league

I wonder if Joe will bring LB back to the D

The only things I'm wondering this off-season:

1. Where's Ben Wallace going to be
2. Will Amare return to full health and be the player he once was

1) Possibly remain in Detroit. I think the drama issue between him, Saunders, and the team will be settled.

2) Amare will be better than before. He's literally had a full season of rest and will be a beast.

Detroit needs to sit down as a team and talk it out. I really dont think they need to change things because they collapsed in the playoffs. I'm just suprised they didnt play with the focusness they've been known for the last 2 years plus I dont why the hell they didnt play the zone, that's what worked for them in the regular season and when they won the title in 04.

I hope Amare comes back like that but he has the exact same knee problem that Allen Houston,Penny Hardaway and Jason Kidd had. Kidd came back from it and I suppose had Penny rested up in the first 2 years instead of coming back early he would have been good but its always been linked as a career-killer. I want Amare back, He would murder the league. Hope Phoenix resigns TT too. Seeing a frontcourt of Diaw, Stoudemire and Thomas would be fun with Nash and Barbosa.

Second, behind Kobe. The guy gets double and tripple teamed and more than likely he will still make the shot. Plus, there is no way Kobe misses those two free throws to give Dalls any chance at a tie.

Its hard to say. right now i might give Wade a slight nod over Kobe becuase of his versitility. I don't think Kobe can go to the rack quite like Wade.

On the radio they were rating wade third though.. Kobe, Lebron, then wade. I would say Wade, Kobe, then Lebron
