2006 can be considered a huge year for gaming. I mean, who can argue that? In one year we saw new consoles like The Wii and PS3. The world fell back in love with PC games due to World Of Warcraft, X-Box 360 put out quite possibley the best freshman year line up any console has ever seen including the likes of Gears Of War and Oblivion and thanks to movies like Silent Hill and Final Fantasy 7:Advent Children, Video game films stopped sucking. What an amazing year. My question though, in a year packed with a million amazing games, which one truly shines above the rest?

I think there's a few who'd debate that. I personally liked Silent Hill, and Advent Children was fun enough, but neither were great movies. I'm sure one will roll along eventually.

Avalanche, this is true. but you have to admit Silent Hill came along way from resident evil.

OTHER. Specifically Medieval 2: Total war

Sorry, Zelda is always tough competition to beat.:word:

I can't choose one :cmad:

Fine, Oblivion. It would have been Twilight Princess for me, but I don't actually own it yet

Oblivion and Zelda are kneck and kneck. I imagined Gears Of War would dominate....

Everybody will say Gears of War but I'm going for Dead Rising

Oh,and KH2 is 05

ummm actually no, it came out in March 2006. That why it made EVERY game magazines top 10 for 06'

Oh yeah,I forgot it only came out in Japan in 05. Sorry.

I would have to say Marvel UA. This game rocks cause its a dream game to be able and play as some of our favorite Marvel superheroes on one team. Can't wait for the sequel

Cruise Tycoon! :cmad:

where's the FF12 love? Ive been playing that game for 2 months and nowhere near done. Thats the best bang for my buck. Gameplay is excelennt and its a great sequel. Loads of fun

When I finally get my hands on FFXII, that will no doubt be my favourite game of the year, but that's not until 2007 for me. :(

ahh, I see your in Europe. Trust me, it will be well worth the wait

1) Lego Star Wars 2
2) Splinter Cell: Double Agent
3) MGS3: Subsistence

I say Zelda, 'case its a good game...its on the Wii and theres two things in it that we'll NEVER get, A hot chik and Magic sword, 'case you'll never get both. :(

I like FF3(for the DS) and a few others but I'm going to stick with Zelda til the end.
