nope...didn't know that, i haven't really been keeping track the Wii or it's numbers. thanx for the info though. lemme reiterate then....for 2008, i think the Wii will continue to perform as steadily as the Gamecube performed.

You do realize the Gamecube sold like crap, right?

no...i was under the impression that it held it's own and did fairly well, even though the PS2 and Xbox practically murdered it.

again, i haven't kept track of Nintendo's systems since the N64....so admittedly, i know zip as far as Nintendo's numbers. i go more by reputation and word of mouth than anything. anyway...for the sake of ending this little argument, the Wii should do "okay".

I don't understand what's taking it so long. Sadly, its sales will pale in comparison to Wii Fit. Oh dear.

I dunno about that. I think that Wii Sports was more of an accidental way of working out, and I feel that their attempt at a true workout system will fail in the US more than they expect...

I think it will come out this Spring. I think the delay was intentional bc I ont think Nintendo wanted to take away from SMG. The Wii doesnt really have alot of big games and the games that are getting the most buzz are its first party titles. With that in mind its best to stretch them out instead of having them released all around the same time and then have months of nothing worthwile coming out for hte system

SSMB coming out in Spring would have the advantage of MGS4's hype with Snake being in the game and all.....that is if MGS4 still comes out during the Spring also, hehe.

True. Metroid came out a few months before SMG, and now SMG looks to be a few months before Brawl. Maybe a fall release for Mario Kart Wii puts the difference at a few months again.

Not for that reason. Wii sports was popular for all ages. Kids like to play the sports, adults like it for a simple workout. Key word there is simple.
