Brand, spanking, new NFL thread!

Enjoy but no holding, lol.

What are some of your thoughts on the Colts? As an avid Colts fan, I doubt my ability to be impartial or the people i know rather that be from rooting for the same team, jealousy, bitterness, etc.

The Colts did not play like an 11 win team last year. They had a turn of turnovers, were extremely young, and a pretty poor defense. They had some great comebacks but also some very bad losses. But I love a lot of the moves they have made this off season and am very optimistic for this season. They may not win 11 games again even though the AFC South is ass besides Houston, but I'm pretty confident that they will be a much better team regardless if their record reflects that with a win increase.

Indianapolis can only get better. Despite the amount of interceptions, Andrew Luck had a solid rookie year and seems to be the franchise QB for Indianapolis for the time being. They have a young team that can only get better. They made the playoffs last year so that's a confidence booster. Even though they got utterly destroyed by Baltimore, they'll improve on those weaknesses more than likely. They have their coach back.

Honestly, it's looking nothing but positive for them next season. We'll see how they are doing by November. Then you can get a legitimate answer.

I expect them to take another step forward. I was kinda bummed that we didn't see a Colts/Broncos playoff game.....maybe this year.

Those damn Ravens had to ruin it.

:o

Indianapolis is a strange case but I attribute their playoff run to weak scheduling/division and good coaching. The Colts have no run game and no defense. Can they repeat what did last year? Possibly, but I'm a skeptic. Luck impressed the least last year out of the three QBs (Wilson, the most). We'll see but they're not a threat to The Patriots, Ravens, Broncos, Steelers, etc.

I am excited to see the Colts become a powerhouse in the NFL. Andrew Luck will probably lead them to a Super Bowl one day

Manti Te'o's girlfriend for rookie of the year.

Russel Wilson's preparedness.

Not Wilson himself, but his preparedness, which is so exemplary that it has manifested into a physical being that makes sports writers the world over swell considerably in the bathing suit area.

Same thing happened with Andrew Luck's "Football IQ".

They had an easy schedule last season which was a large part of their success. I think the Colts are gonna get better in the long run. They have a bit of a tough schedule this season. I think they can roll off 2 wins to start the season, but then they'll take a hit when they travel to San Francisco.

Whew, Kaepernick and the boys are going to s*** all over the Colts. That is a scary team.

49ers will be good, but I'm a little concerned about Kaepernick's second season. Teams have a little more info on him. I think he'll be good, but not as good.

It'll be interesting to see RG3 this year too. Shanahan wants The Pistol to be reduced by the very least 25%. RG3 will be operating from the center more. Let's see if he's worked on outroutes and tight window passes this off-season. Bubble screens, dumpoffs and 5-7 yard passes don't work on every opponent.

I think RG3, Kaepernick and Wilson aren't gonna have as good of years as they did last season. The Redskins are still in a tough divison. The Giants will be good and the Cowboys are really a toss up. I'm real interested to see how Chip Kelly handles the Eagles.

Fixed.

I wouldn't say the NFC East is a hard division. In actuality, 2 teams every year just seem to always be evenly matched. Last year, it was Cowboys/Redskins. Before that, Giants/Cowboys. And so on and so forth.

How many divisions are tougher than the NFC?

I'm not saying it's the toughest but c'mon.
