2013 Primetime Emmy Nominations and Awards

I watch Veep but this season was a step back from the first year.

Parks or New Girl are much more deserving.

Don't know how Hannibal didn't get a single technical nomination.

Acting noms are tough.

I think you're picking the wrong show to single out. How The Big Bang Theory still gets nominated for this stuff, I'll never know.

I think Veep was much better this year than last (and I loved last year too).

I'm excited for Tony and Anna. Totally deserved, but also unexpected.

I suppose at times people need reminding that they're watching a tv show.

Lol, right, because if not for the hosts, "reality" shows like American Idol and Dancing With The Stars might be mistaken for documentaries.

I feel bad for Jennifer Carpenter. She should had gotten a nomination for her acting in season 7 of "Dexter".

Veep was great this year and DEFINITELY deserving, imo.

I agree about Jennifer Carpenter, but she's got one more year and she's killing it this season, so hopefully she'll get her due next year.

Hahahaha nothing for Hannibal or Arrested Development? Give me a break...

Honestly, Hannibal was way too art house-y for its own good. Everything about it just screamed, "PRESTIGE SHOW! GIVE ME AWARDS!" I'm not surprised by how little love it got.

Come on, think of all the ridiculous (and ultimately pointless) snow covered scenes with the moose and tell me it wasn't trying to be artsy.

Besides, Academy likes publicity too much to nominate Hannibal. No one watched and it wasn't martyred/canceled. It is the same reason that Boss got no love. No one cared about it, despite it being amazing on every level.

Well, I'll give you the publicity thing.

Well, I'll give you the publicity thing.

If it got cancelled, then it probably would've gotten something, because then the Academy could act like they are better than everyone and raise their noses at the masses who simply could not comprehend the greatness of the show. Hell, Starz should've waited until April to air/cancel Boss, then it might've happened there. Cancelling it quietly in December ensured that it would get no love come award season.

Man, you've got some issues you need to work out with the Academy.

Too bad this will clash with Breaking Bad...

Yeah, Emmys vs. Breaking Bad?

Child please... :o

With 9 nominations tonight, Louie CK has to win something.

Merritt Wever wins Supporting Actress in a Comedy for Nurse Jackie.

Tony Hale wins Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Veep
