Lots of surprising wins tonight. While I don't agree with all of them, I prefer this over the painfully predictable sweeps we usually get.

Yeah, it feels boring rooting for Cranston, but his game is so strong it's raising everybody else's, and it's always been that way.

There have been a bunch of surprises, but I wish I'd been surprised in the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category, and Jim Parsons was not one.

Sometimes things are predictable for a reason. That award was Cranston's.

Well Cranston and Paul are the only two streaks I wanted to see continue, but I don't mind surprises as long as the rightful winners have been recognized a plenty. However, my main disappointment with that particular surprise win was that it lessens the chance for Breaking Bad to come through with a surprise win for Best Drama Series, aka, The Surprise Win I've Been Hoping To See For Years Now.

The same can be said for Jeff Daniels. I have a really hard time imagining, of all the nominees, anyone looking at Daniels and being like "Oh yeah. There's a winner." Seriously, Cranston, Spacey, Hamm, Lewis and the guy from Downton Abbey, and they choose Jeff Daniels?
