2014 Emmy Nominees.

I can't believe they snubbed Tatiana Maslany again. Well, I take that back, I can totally believe it, it just enrages me. :argh:
I don't thing the Emmy people know BBC America exists :o
Question for you guys. Since the Emmys are again showing love for Netflix shows, do you think there'a a chance we could see Daredevil and some of the other Marvel shows get nominated someday, if they're high quality? Or will they be ignored like Arrow, simply because they're of the superhero genre?

I think they will probably be ignored like The Walking Dead although Luther is frequently compared to Batman and it got a nomination.

Is there going to be a separate thread for predictions or can we just do it here?

The only really good thing I'm getting out of these nominations comedy-wise is that these people apparently watch Veep.

Otherwise... :o

Good point. I used to love Louie as well, but at some point he decided to stop making the show funny.

Wish Shameless got more nominations. They should have nominated Noel Fisher, Emmy Rossum, and given a nom for guest actress to Vannessa Calloway.

So was it for the first half or the second half of Breaking Bad season 5 that was nominated this year?

Probably ignored. The Walking Dead is on a very Emmy-favored network, but, you know.... eesh, !

You're totally right. It's all teh zombiezzz fault. Nailed it. The Walking Dead is totally on the same level as the other shows nominated. Those damn Emmy voters are just too blinded by teh zombiezzz to the see the genius of a brilliant show like The Walking Dead.

Typical Soapy response is typical.

Melissa McBride's performance this season was more worthy of a supporting/guest actress in a drama nod than most of the actresses nominated. NOT debatable.

And the ****ing Big Bang Theory has been nominated countless years in a row. Shut down the sarcasm.

I'm rooting for Mayim Bialik though. She came into the show pretty late on and made an impact. Plus y'know, I was a HUGE Blossom fan. :o

The Big Bang Theory will be that one show 2 continue 2 be nominated after its off the air for years

Someone from New Girl should of got nominated for comedy.

I didn't know Girls was considered a comedy.

You realize I could say the literal exact same thing about you right? You really do have a hard time dealing with someone criticizing something you're into. Honestly, you should try not to take it so personally.

I can't agree that I am pulling for her (although with the nominees this year, most categories will be a bust), I will give you one thing. My wife loves Big Bang Theory so I see it sometimes. I will say that the women on the show are generally much more likable and entertaining than the men.

I feel bad for Dean Norris. I've always enjoyed his performance but he brought his A-game in the 2nd half of the last season of Breaking Bad.

Ty Burrell wins Supporting Actor in a Comedy

Allison Janney wins Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy.

I like Janney, but... ugh. I'm consistently baffled by the Emmy voters preferring cable drama to network... and then in turn considering CBS multicamera sitcom bull**** Emmy-worthy. Your taste in drama has grown, it's time for your taste in comedy to do the same. Chuck Lorre dreck is not Emmy-worthy. Give everything to Veep. :o
