2014 Emmy Nominees.

Just realized that How I Met Your Mother wasnt nominated for anything. Good, its last seasons were mostly garbage

I hope these actors win

Matthew McConaughey
Diana Rigg
Billy Bob Thornton

and these shows win

Sherlock
Game Of Thrones
Luther

Other than that I don't mind who wins

I like shows like The Blacklist and Vikings but I can't disagree with the shows nominated in the drama series category this year.

WHERE THE **** IS TATIANA MASLANY?

So happy that Woody got a nod. He's just as good as McConaughey. Pleasantly surprised to see Headey nominated too. A much more deserving nod than Clarke last year. Looove the Breaking Bad nods but those were expected. It's disappointing too to see The Americans shut out of Lead Actor and/or Lead Actress.

And oh... Where is Tatiana Maslany??? Did Tatiana not sleep with someone powerful in Hollywood or something and that's why they're ignoring her? :argh:

What a lot of people don't seem to realize about these showy roles like McConaughey in True Detective, is that people like McConaughey needed Harrelson to anchor his performance. Harrelson played the straight man, but in the best possible way. I'm glad to see the straight man get recognition because that usually doesn't happen due to them being overshadowed by the more showy roles.

Absolutely agreed. I'm personally a sucker for quieter performances so I actually enjoyed and appreciated his performance more than Matthew (as great as Matt was) so I'm glad that he got some recognition.

It's lame that they won't air the original Utopia series in the U.S. I bet the HBO David Fincher remake gets nominated for a ton of awards though if it manages to be as amazing as the original version.

Biggest snub for me is Tatiana Maslany, but its hardly surprising giving how they view Sci Fi shows

Hmmm, well I like both so I'm fine with either one winning. They're both a testament to the awesomeness of Martin Freeman.

...is Hannibal going to be snubbed like this every year?

Hannibal isn't high profile enough and it's way too dark for NBC to really give it the push for nominations. For as long as the show will go on, I'm afraid it will be stuck like it is now unfortunately. Shame, because it deserves a lot of nomination. Hell, Michael Pitt would have been nice to see.

It amazes me that the Emmys will give acknowledge reality shows but they still refuse to acknowledge theCW.

Still no love for Sons of Anarchy.......:cmad:

That show just came off an all time great season. It totally deserves best drama and writing nods.

I KNOW!! It's insane!!! How on earth can they justify just ignoring an entire networks catalogue of programming is beyond me, if nothing else include it so that you get young viewers to watch your show!

Hunnam should have 3 Emmys and the show should be and maybe win for best Drama this past season.

He's a decent actor. I get why he's not nominated because there is so much competition in the acting category with your Jon Hamm's and Bryan Cranston's out there.

But there is no excuse as to why this show is not recognized for it's writing and being an overall terrific television show. In my opinion, it's the best show I've seen since The Sopranos went off the air.

No nominations for Hannibal, and yet they would still like to continue with the notion that The Big Bang Theory is something that could be described with the terms "Best" and "Comedy".

Keep being unapologetically awful, Emmys. :o

Garbage HIMYM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Big Bang Theory

I still don't understand the Emmys' obsession with American Horror Story. It's okay but it's as campy and stupid as True Blood. Especially this last season.

Except that no, it's not. :o

And I expect better from you than that Voight remark. That's like 2013/2014 join date-level nonsense.

Oh, and also, no Directing nomination for Rian Johnson? lolwut?

I think he deserves at least a nomination.

The writing is amazing, the 6 straight years of snubbing is a tad outrageous.

SoA deserves a nom but again it will probably not get one ever. Other than The Shielf and now I guess Fargo the emmys ignore FX. I think FX is the best channel for original programming other than HBO.
