2014 Emmy Nominees.

Long as BB and Cranston and Paul won, all is ok-enough in Emmy world.

I loved True Detective, but nothing was beating the final season of Breaking Bad and nothing should have imo.

I love Breaking Bad and Bryan Cranston but True Detective was robbed in the best actor category.

True Detective would have absolutely swept the Mini-Series categories, which is where it belonged. That loss is on HBO. At least Cary Fukunaga won for his brilliant direction. BB deserved everything it got.

Modern Family and Big Bang Theory? Not so much. I think Louie AND Veep both deserve wins for Best Comedy series before they're done.

Overall, aside from me still not being over Tatiana Maslany and Hannibal's total snubs, I was pretty happy with the winners tonight.

They really shot themselves in the foot with submitting TD for a Drama Series.

I like Modern Family, but it should not get Best Comedy. It was good this year, but not great.

Serves HBO right for trying to show how big their dick is and putting True Detective in the Best Drama category instead of Miniseries. So happy for Breaking Bad. Seriously, Ozymandias alone is probably the most incredible episode of any TV show I've ever seen.

True Detective is laying in the bed HBO made for it. There's no reason it shouldn't have been categorized as a miniseries. Aside from that being where it belonged, it would've been very successful there, I think.

I loved S1 of TD, but c'mon it's a MINISERIES.

Basically all of this yes, it's their own fault. Dumb move on their part.

Modern Family and Big Bang Theory? Not so much.

The devotion Emmy voters feel towards MF and Jim Parsons is just absurd to me. And I even LIKE Modern Family, but the combination of both: A.) it's best years being behind it and B.) several much better comedies being nominated alongside it, just make it so ridiculous that it wins time and time again.

On HBO's part it was just idiotic to do that. You're really gonna decide to put that up in the category of one of the best television dramas ever? Especially it's final season? Come on now HBO. Quit dreaming.

Next year, the Daily Show will go back to winning Best Variety Show.

I've never watched Hannibal (I plan on starting it soon actually) but I've heard nothing but amazing things. Very surprised it gets no attention at all.

They should have surprised us in the comedy categories like the Golden Globes did.

I love Dinklage but ppl were clamoring for him to take the Emmy based solely that 1 court room, where as Aaron Paul's work during the 2nd half of the final season of Breaking Bad was the best he has ever done.

I wouldn't wish to spoil it for you, but honest to God, the last fifteen minutes of the season 2 finale is some of the most absurdly Emmy-worthy stuff I've ever seen, on all fronts, and it just makes the Emmys look all the more ridiculous for not even acknowledging the show's existence.

The last 15 minutes of season 2 was damn near Ozymandias level of crazy for me. Crazier than the Red Wedding in GoT to me.

Modern Family's great but we all know what should have won.

You guys are killin me here haha. But making me very excited now to start this series. I honestly don't know why it's taken me so long. I've always been a fan of thrillers and horror and the Hannibal stories. Dumb on my part to wait til now, but better late than never.

The Good Wife has been good this year, but not great. Juliana though was excellent on the show this past season as was Josh Charles.
