Well he crossed it in which led to the goal but it was an OG. Officially I'm not sure how it works for the World Cup.

Its amazing what a goal does, Argentina pinging the ball around like Barcelona now.

Really is a game of confidence and momentum sometimes. Just frustrating when that trigger doesn't come for the exciting teams.

No problem! Argentina really got a lift from that, hopefully they get another. Really it's almost only Di Maria and Messi contributing much though.

That's plenty. Maybe they can put 9 men behind the ball in the next games and let Di Maria & Messi do their thing. Although I'd like Aguero to get equally involved.

Sometimes its good to start a WC with a scrappy win rather than hammering somebody and thinking the trophy is yours already. Argentina showed flashes of great stuff so more to come from them, its good for the tournemount if more top teams are winning as well.

Tomorrow the Germans take center stage and come chap called Ronaldo (wouldnt want to be upstaged by Messi now would you)

I think Germany are tactically aware enough to eliminate Ronaldo as much of a threat from open play. Not sure how the Germans will look in front of goal though. I think it'll be a tight game.
