Dez makes the hardest part of catch, but going to the ground does not equal to fully securing it, in favor of gambling for bigger (score) play. It's really a shame. He had it 99% of way.

Thank you based Rodgers. He really opened things up after he got a little loose out there.

Can't wait for Cobb to be a packer for another 5 years after getting paid this offseason.

PAY DAT MAN.

Aikman didn't talk for a solid 3 mins waiting for the call and after. :funny:

Well, my dream SB of Broncos vs. Cowboys is now gone....oh well, I guess we got the call last week, so this was our payback...the difference is, we definitely know that call lost the game for us. Oh well.....

Payback? This was not a catch. It was PI last week.

I'm from Texas and grew up a Cowboys fan, but I really do try to be objective. I felt there were quite a few calls earlier in the Detroit game that get forgotten, simply because the implication of the PI call came at a more poignant time of the game.

Hmmm....a rematch of SB12, which was the only SB to have co-MVPs

Kelly, how come when people try to troll Cowboys fans they use "Cowgirls" as an insult? Is this implicating women as lesser and inferior???

That was a horrible call. I hate these calls where they focus on the 15 seconds after the guy hits the ground. Dez secured the catch before he hit the ground. The play should be over then, not waiting to see if he can maintain possession while rolling on the ground 10 seconds after impact.

15 seconds? 10 seconds? As soon as he hit the ground he lost the ball. :funny:

That's not the rules though. It is unfortunate to secure a catch, but in gambling to stretch for the score he muffed the ball into the ground a bit. It sucks to be 99% there and not get it, but that's how the mop flops this time.

I've been a Cowboy fan for 40+ years....watching them from an infant seat actually...lol And yes there were quite a few calls early in the Detroit game that were iffy, and I do not believe that that particular call lost the game for the Lions, they allowed 20 fast points at the end and that lost it for them.

In this case, I do believe that there was some thinking of "they got their call" last week. Who knows, but the game is over and it does stick just a little more because we know that that would have been a TD or at the least a FG, and a win.

That is how football goes....I've been there in the wins and loses, I thought this was our year, but it wasn't meant to be. :csad:

He didn't lose the ball until he rolled on his back and it popped up and back into his arms. He maintained control as he hit the ground.
