I think it's this -

Standard Edition - 21 deleted Scenes
Collector's Edition - 10 Deleted Scenes

it doesn't look like it's that easy.

whether you have the boxset, standard or collector's edition is irrelevant. the disc inside is random.

No, its just luck/random. Somebody got the collector's edition on here and said it came with 21 scenes.

yeah its just random. although everyone who has gotten the trilogy box set so far say their x3 has only 10..or i could be wrong

You're right, because the regular, Collector's Edition, and Trilogy DVD's are all the exact same thing.

Too many threads are opening on this!

the commerical said 10..apparently something fishy is happening.

I bought the regular wide-screen version and got 21 deleted scenes. Some are cool, but some are just a waste of time.

Only one had more Colossus!:cmad:

Yeah its most likely random. Was it an accident(Packing problems, ect) or did FOX want us to buy a bunch of DVDs hoping we'd get the [extra] extras?

Yea:cmad:

It's all random...no way of really knowing which has 10 and which has 21 :o

I say people buy their copies today before Fox figures out what is going on and they fix the problem. They willl ship out new dvd with just the 10 scenes. I say get them while they are still around.

I got a standard wide screen that had with 21 deleted scenes. I think that it's just luck if you get 10 or 21

It is. Just luck, that is.

Question: To those who have the R1 21-deleted scenes edition, what is the disc called when you put it in your DVD-ROM drive?

I have the 10-deleted scenes edition and it's called "Stanford Bridge", which is really weird, imo.

I doubt that Fox will try to fix the disc situation since it would be a waste of money on their part since they dont know which disc is which and they would have to produce a whole new batch of dvds.

yeah..and i doubt they want to spend their precious money

btw X-Men 3 is head news at Yahoo.com

For whoever is counting or wants to know, I got 20+ on my R1 Trilogy I bought at Target. :)

funny how everyone is ahead of Phoenix in the yahoo search except for Pyro. Wolvy at number1 ofcourse, surprised Storm made 2 with mags right behind her.

I bet Fox had heard feedback about US customers complaining that
UK customers were getting a better deal on the Region 2 sets, so they hurriedly added the other deleted scenes during the DVD manufacture, so that the previous ones have 10 and the later ones have 21.

There are 22 deleted scenes on the UK Region 2 DVD - two of these are identical (plastic weapons manufacture is included in the Brotherhood features menu and the X-Men features menu) - and there are 3 alternate endings.

The deleted scenes come with optional commentary about why they were omitted. The movie itself can be watched as it is (which is slightly different to the commercial release I saw); or with commentary over the top by Arad/Shuler Donner/Winter ; or with commentary over the top by Ratner, Penn, Kinberg.

The second disc on the Region 2 has heaps of extras that I've just started watching. Several documentaries for starters, I've just watched three of them tonight.

Although lacking some key deleted scenes (Storm origin, Psylocke power displays) and I haven't so far come across any bloopers or gags
(the commentaries mention the X-Men breaking into a dance routine when they come out the Danger Room and when they line up at Alcatraz, but we haven't seen footage yet)
this is one of the most amazingly jampacked DVDs I've come across. It's bristling with extras. Reviews that described this DVD as a poor offering were way off the mark. There's enough here to keep me watching for a week!

I agree with X-Maniac. I was very impressed overall with the X3 DVD. The sound and picture quality on disc 1 are great and disc 2 has an extensive amount of extras.

Really? My one disk region one dvd had barely anything on it. Deleted scenes and commentaries. That's it. No special character features, documentaries, behind the scenes stuff... nothing. I was depressed when I was searching through the dvd.
