The DVD only has 10 deleted scenes.

I'm not sure where Worthy got his 21 from, why his DVD got 21. But the copy I got tonight at work only has 10. It's the Collector's Edition (not that it matters, seeing as though they are both the same)

The good news is that, the comic that comes with it rocks.

On top of the new Stan Lee comic, it also contains original X-Men issues #1, #4, and #9!

The menus are f'ing sweet.

I'm about to watch it now. I'm so stoked! Disappointed on the deleted scenes though. I really want to see that alternate Wolverine speech in the subbasement. :cmad:

Hmmm . . . it sounds like the reported mistake may be true. a1ant posted this in the DVD forums.

I work at Fox and want to tell everyone about a BIG error - FOX by accident included 21 pieces of Value Added deleted scenes on the DVD on only some of the DVDS. These extra features were supposed to be held for the second special edition DVD release later next year. If your DVD only has 10 pieces of VAM you can return it for a refund.

If you don't believe me, when you buy it compare your DVD with your friends

Sorry to hear this Nell. Region 1 really got royally screwed with the dvd.

They're releasing late NEXT year? Oh boy.. O.:(

Wooo, I got lucky. Sorry for you though Nell. :(

Where did you get your copy?

thats really interesting, that explains all the miss leading info and all. i hope the dvd i get has all deleted scenes.

i wonder since that all deleted scenes has been put in the this version if they are still going to release another special extra dvd thing

How many extended scenes are there in total? Are those & the 3 alternate endings counted as deleted scenes also? Breaking down the numbers it will probably turn out to be 10 actual deleted scenes 7 extended scenes & 3 alternate endings which would equal 21 scenes all together.

Is it seriously random whether you get the 21 or 10 deleted scenes?

Take a screen capture of the deleted scenes menu showing proof that it actually has 21 deleted scenes.

What ridiculous bs.

Makes me wish I had just went ahead and ordered the non-R1 2-disc set instead as a FU to Fox.

But remember that the deleted scenes are only a small part of what we got ripped on though they'll all be on youtube eventually- it's the other extras we really got ripped on.

Yeah. My Walmart edition has 10 deleted scenes and 3 alternative endings, with the easter eggs. I only found one, but I think there's another easter egg

The bonus DVD just has two specials that were originally shown on the Fox Movie Channel. I don't have that channel, so I never saw them. The first featurette features the cast talking about the trilogy, and the 2nd just features Ralph Winter talking to film students.

It was only $13.99, so very cheap. I actually already have the UK version (2 disc) on order, but was impatient, so I pranced into Walmart :o

No.

The 21 deleted/extended scenes are basically the same thing. Think of them as being grouped.

The three alternate endings are sort of their own thing.

The total all together is 24.

21 deleted and/or extended scenes.

3 alternate endings (scenes).

In Region One it looks like some of us are going to get lucky and some of us aren't. :cmad:

10 vs. 21. Big difference. :csad:

It's 10 deleted / alternate scenes, +3 alternate endings, for a total of 13.

My DVD only had the 10 deleted scenes. I'm gonna believe this whole mix up thing, because I trust Worthy. I don't think he'd mislead us. But this is why I chose to "err on the side of caution". A company isn't going to advertise less, just to make you get all excited when you really get more.

The packaging is pretty crappy too.

X-Men, and X2, had nice little fold outs for the "tracklists", that had pictures of the characters and all of that. The tracklist for X-Men: The Last Stand is on the back of an add for Fox superhero movies... :whatever:

The disc is just the cover picture, on the disc. Not like X-Men, where it had the cool blue "X" on the disc. Even the X2 discs with Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike look better than this one. But I guess the picture on the disc isn't really a big thing to ***** about...

Although, I do like the picture on the back of the DVD box. And I don't much mind the front cover, despite the fact that it's really generic. And was already done with X2...

The Collector's Edition packaging is nice. I like the fold out picture. The comic is cool, seeing as though it comes with X-Men #1, X-Men #4, and X-Men #9.

The menus are ****ing *****ing. The best looking menus of all the releases, X-Men, X-Men 1.5, or X2.

As far as all the bad reviews we got regarding the picture quality; toss all that out the window. The picture looks awesome. It looks just as good as X2. Maybe even better. In all the times I've seen this movie (7 times in theatres, and a few times on my computer), I noticed things tonight that I never noticed before, thanks to the great picture quality of the DVD. So don't worry about all those negative reviews. There's nothing to it, so as far as the picture quality is concerned.

I didn't watch any of the commentaries, and I probably won't, not tonight, seeing as though it's 1:20 in the morning, and I need to be up at 8AM to get to classes.

Overall, I'm just happy that the movie is out on DVD. I have it. The trilogy is complete.

Okay, so it shouldn't have been "just" a trilogy. But what's done is done. They've turned it into a trilogy. And now my X-Men DVD collection is complete. Well, until they release the "Special Edition" of X-Men: The Last Stand... then I'll be all over that :)

Damnit, I wanna watch the movie again already...

i'll dhow u proof. Who knows a good photo hoster> imagebucket ( or something lik that) laggs moi comp. Then i'll show you.

And the 2 easter eggs.

go to Scene selector 10-13 and click on the cross ( you get beast doing shakespear)

go to deleted scene (x-men) last page. Click on omega symbol.

Change menu in the feturrette selection

I'm really confused! Everyone is talking about the DVD supposedly having 21 deleted scenes, but my DVD states it has 22?

Yea, it is pathetic.

I haven't checked for the Easter Eggs yet.

guys, i got tech prob. If i wanna take screenshot, when i change things in the menu, it changes too... how can i take the ss?

I swear, if I do not find some way to "unlock" these alleged scenes, I am going to severley complain to Fox. You cannot release something claiming it has something that it doesn't.

which regeon? and how many scenes do you have in X-men? and how many in brotherhood side?

theres 11 on x-men ( with extra 2 ae)
theres 11 on brotherhood ( with extra 1 ae)

Region 2

There were only 2 on the brotherhood side.
Jimmy in lab
Pyro telling Magneto about the cure (clean shaven version)

On the X-Men side there were these:
Xavier voiceover
Alternate Logan and Hank meeting
Extended fight scene at Jean's house
Alternate Bobby and Kitty skate
Making plastic weapons
Hank informing trask about Magneto's plan
Original X-Men boarding Jet
Jean senses a scared little girl
Storm creates a wave
Bobby freezes Phat
Beast breaks a neck

Alternate ending: Storm greeting pupils
Alternate ending: Logan returns to Canada
