I agree that they shouldn't have killed it. But releasing it in the ocean? Huh? American Alligators live in freshwater environments... I can't picture an Alligator swimming along in the ocean somewhere. I think they probably should have taken it and put it in a zoo or some kind of place where it could be monitored.
