Even if it is only 15 feet long or so, to have his jaws clamped around the middle of a 500 lb deer and swim with it is still pretty impressive.

It's probably not 23 feet. If you double the cop's height, there's only a couple of feet more for the alligator.

But 18 feet is possible.
