360 scratching games, dammit!

I had Marvel Ultimate Alliance running on the 360. It is on a shelf. It is not vertical. I never moved it and I have circular gashes made by my 360 on the disk.

So can you still play MUA or is the disc ruined? Have you since changed the position of the 360?

I've had my X-Box is both the horizontal and vertical positions and none of my games are scratched. I've had no problems at all with it since I got it in Feb.

The disc was destroyed. I traded my game and got a new copy and played it. Nothing has happened and I have had it for the last few months. Never touched the 360 when I had the game.

I will return my 360, but I hate continually spending 50 dollars on new warranties.

A cheap bastard.

Heh. Yea, my wife and I have warranties on everything we get that is over $100 from Best Buy.

Got one on my 360 and had to use it to replace a controller in the first week because my button started sticking because I was playing hockey so much. Had my new controller for a month now and no problem. I had my NHL game get deeply scratched, but my 360 got jostled pretty hard when my wife walked across and yanked on the cord while I was charge and playing my controller.

Ive played my 360 for like 7 or 8 hours straight one weekend and had no problem, so it's not as bad as some make it seem. Although I do wish it had liquid cooling, but I aint buying a POS3 for that. :D

So basically I shouldn't have any problems putting my 360 horizontal as long as I keep it well ventilated and don't move it with the disc in it yeah?

The person who said they did not have Warranty on their 360 obviously does not realize if they need to ship it back to us (Xbox), we will charge 150 for the repair. If it is in warranty and a 2005 it is free Repairs. Also, scratching discs is not Rare, as I have overhard dozens of calls on the Call Centre floor about this issue. Also, Screens freeze often, there were problems with the last update in the fall, which by now was supposed to be fixed.

Long story short, I used to work for Xbox Tech Support and any questions about the Sytem and how to fix your problems I am more then happy to solve. I also will not give you the RUN AROUND my ex- fellow Phone Support agents do, if you get a problem that equals being Sh** out of luck.

Just call me the Friendly Neighbourhood Xbox Tech-Problem fixer.
