Does anyone know what kind of "portal" that is?? Or is it one of Mysterio's illusions??

I f I remember correctly, it wasn't really a portal. Peter has strange dreams about his parents and is awoken several times. He tries to track down the Goblin, stays at Aunt May's and has more odd dreams. Most of the issue is like that, but it's a great issue.Does anyone know what kind of "portal" that is?? Or is it one of Mysterio's illusions??
I know I'm in the minority but while I think it's a somewhat good looking cover and all, I think the whole concept with that cover is done to death and not nearly as great as you guys think. Very unoriginal if you ask me.
Sort of reminds me of the cover of issue 121, amazing466 days left

t:I loved the coloring style used during his run on Amazing with JMS. Those two were made for each other.^^ I've laways found Romita jr.'s work to be best when the colors are perfect. His recent run on ASM back in 2009 was geat IMO, but I do think (in terms of color, which was done by Matt Milla at the time) his work really popped out the most in his run with JMS, etc. Still like I said, I tought his work was fantastic in 2009, it's just that it works best when the colors are perfect. He's on my top 5 favorite artists list, btw.
