Those two pieces of art are actually drawn by the same artist, John Byrne.

I have to say I really didn't care for Byrne's Spidey work during time.

They should have switched the two artwork pieces before releasing that comic. Not a fan of his work either.

Yeah, I agree that the other image is better, but that piece of artwork is an interior image from I believe Spider-Man Chapter One.
