Among the things i love about Batman is his fighting abilities, he has no superpowers, but the way he moves and fights in the comics adds to your entertainment. However this hasnt been interpreted well in the movies, we've had Batman, Batman returns , Batman forever,Batman and Robin,Batman Begins and The Dark knight , and i have yet to see that fight stealing scene in all this outings, like Spiderman vs Doc Octopus on the train, Wolverine vs Lady Deathstrike , Even Daredevil and Bullseye had their moment. Are we ever gonna get this in the future? or are we just gonna have to do with the close up fight scenes and dark fight scenes?

Ra's Al Ghul and Batman needed a good topless sword fight...

That would've been cool.

They could have had one while the mansion burnt down , would have been kl

I love alot of memorable fight scenes from almost every Batman movie made, and I dont want to hear any smartass comments about BF or B&R either!

Batman Forever actually had some good fight scenes, though it was nothing memorable

Personally I am not a martial arts afficionado but if I want to see breathtaking fight scenes, I'll look for them in movies from Hong Kong or the fantastic (as in unreal) flying fights in Matrix. I liked that in the Burton and Nolan films Batman simply kicks straight to the point. He doesn't fight to showcase his abilities or entertain, he just wants to take the thugs down.

I much prefer the fight scenes in Begins, just a blur and quick flash. When you see the suit clearly and for longer stretches, it can't help but look goofy...

batman vs catwoman is a memorable fight. Batman needs to be intimate with his fighters before he can gain a memorable scene with them. It just doesn't work if he's taking out random ganstaers and swat teams. Saying this though, batmans main rogue's gallery aren't exactly the best combatants out there.

I love the brutal fights in The Dark Knight and love the Joker and Dogs VS Batman scene, but, its really not as memorable as other Superhero fights.

Doesn't mean the fights can't be thrilling and pulse-pounding.

Yeah, I agree, but also they don't HAVE to. In Batman, the meat is elsewhere, the films don't need spectacularly (sp?) staged fights to be good

I agree with the original poster. The lack of truly great fights is kind of annoying when you think about it.

However, I find myself not thinking about it when I watch the movies. When I go into a Batman movie, especially going into TDK, I'm looking forward to the story, to the character interactions, to the acting. The action is, in all honesty, the furthest thing from my mind. I've never left a Batman movie saying "That really lacked action", which I have said after leaving say, Fantastic Four. It's because the Batman movies (generally) are packed to the gills with quality acting and storytelling, whereas some other movies really need that exciting action to make them...er, worth seeing at all.

At this point, a stunning fight would just be icing on the cake. That being said, they may not be fist fights, but I think the chase scenes in both BB and TDK were really exciting and well done.

Action scene wise I really enjoyed the chase scene with Dent in TDK. I also think the fight between Bruce and the fake Ra's in Begins was cool. I also think every encounter Batman had with the villains (especially Joker and Catwoman) in Burton's movies and all the villains (especially Joker and Two-Face) in Nolan's movies are so satisfying I don't really mind.

Batman is capable of badass action but there has never been a memorable Bat fight. Maybe that is because the rubber bat-gorilla suits look too silly in fight scenes, or that Burton and Nolan aren't into it. Batman doesn't need it, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be great for Batman to have his own classic fight a ala Spiderman/Ock with one of his rogues or someone else. Also, USE MORE GRAPPLING GUNS NOW.

Yeah, no good fight scene. That's sad. And the fault of the stupid rubber suits.

No ones asking for Matrix style fight scenes, just a decent memorable fight scene will do

Nolan should have watched Casino Royale or one of the Borne films before shooting. I'm talking mainly about the framing, editing and energy of the fight scenes rather than he style of fighting.

Good example, the fights in Casino Royale wasnt flashy , but you cant forget the opening fight scene which had good editing and energy to it
