7th Heaven:Soppy Soap or Puritanical Plot ?

Ive been watching this show of a dinner time and the more i see the more the facade of sweet family soap opera cracks and i see the "true love waits" message being force fed through
The amount of times one of the characters says they don't want to have sex with their respective BF/GF is unreal and the two parents have on several occasions said "Sex with someone you aren't married to is wrong"
Is it just a sugary sweet drama series featuring unbelievibly perfect ppl or is it an insidious plot to get into the minds of the young through the beautiful ppl ?

Also how the hell can they afford to live in that huge house when the Dad is a minister and the mom doesn't work and they have 7 kids ?

It´s the America that only ever existed in the minds of old Republicans, that already wasn´t real back in the fifties and is even less real now.
