WOW, I have to say, this premiere was both amazing and confusing! One good thing is, this feels like a whole different level for the series in terms of look and feel. This finally feels like an actual Superman series, I don't know, but that opening teaser alone left a big old grin on my face.

The Good:
The Opening teaser- It wasawesome! I loved how it jumped right into the story with Lois' arrival, especially when Clark saves the train and the shot of Clark on top of the building looking down.
Clark-Hard to believe this is the same kid who obsessed over what's her face for 8 years. He's Superman in all black and his confidence was through the roof, even Jor-El couldn't keep up. Tom just nailed it. Oh and nice calling CHloe out on her stupidity!
Training!!!-Need I say more?
Lois-She kicked ass...literally! Loved all her scenes and Erica was wonderful throughout.
Special effects-WTF!? I'm guessing without the Doomsday suit and one less cast member, the show budget has some extra money lying around...thank GOD! The special effects was stunning, especially that train sequence..WHOW!
The Fight scenes-There were actually 2 decent fight scenes in this episode and one of them was Clark's fight!
I'm guessing they got a decent fight coordinator to this season. I'm guessing those were the writers' apology for the horrendous lack of fight between Clark and DD in the finale!
Callum as Zod-PERFECTION! So much power and passion in his delivery. He actually brings a complexity to Zod that I saw in his acting. I can't wait to see more of him.
BAG as John Corben-Almost forgot about him! He was good and did well, but I'm more interested in how he plays Metallo next week!
Emil Hamilton-Really a great addition and I couldn't help but LOL when he made Chloe seem dumb!
t:
Lois' vision-Yay! Chloe dies!...uhh the other stuff was cool too! lol
t:
The suit-I don't care what anyone says, seeing the "S" finally on Clark's chest is EPIC!
The Bad:
Some confusion-So Lois went back a year into the future? Was Alia Clark's future lover? Then why was Clark having sex with Lois in the future? Why did Alia bring blue kryptonite with her? So if it wasn't Zod and the Kandorians intention to come to Earth, who the hell was the voice and brought them there? My head hurts a little!
Tess and Oliver-They weren't bad, they were good, just wish we saw more of them. But I got the idea of where they're headed this season, so it's okay I guess.
The Ugly:
Chloe-Wow, how mighty has this character fallen in a year. I have never disliked Chloe this much since Season 3. I understand Chloe is still moruning Jimmy and is not thinking straight, but that last scene with her and Clark was uncalled for. She went from respecting Clark's new direction to saying he's not human because he doesn't want to do something she asked for? Hello Chloe, Time travel=BAD! I can honestly say Chloe has run her course. Why can't Emil just take over Watchtower and send Chloe packing. Hopefully Chloe is redeemed by season end, but I doubt it.
Again, awesome premiere, it was fast paced, but didn't feel too rushed like "Doomsday". The writers did well by setting a nice and refreshing tone for the 9th season, Clark seems more heroic and focused than ever, Lois is front and center and Zod as well as his army have my attention. Please writers, don't pull a "Doomsday" or "Lana arc" and f@#% this up!
