Am I the only one who has not heard of:

Metal Men
Fables
100 Bullets
Team 7

Yep.

Seriously though, I have a hard time seeing a few of these as financially viable, or even creatively viable in live action. And 100 Bullets should be a dark neo-noir show on HBO, not a film or film series. Metal Men could be a fun CGI film. Fables? Again, an HBO series (Though with ONCE UPON A TIME on ABC, some may go, "Why bother?"). And JLDARK? I don't care what anyone says... I just don't see that happening ever. EVER. SHAZAM! could be a fun light hearted adventure film, but will it link up with the greater DCCU? The list of films supposedly in development seems strange and off to me. So much that most of them give off the whiff of JONAH HEX and CATWOMAN. I truly hope I am wrong though.

Why would Cyborg get a solo film? If anything they'd probably make a TITANS film.

My thoughts on why The Rock is not Shazam neither Black Adam.

Reading the last interview we can assume some points.

1. Why mentioning Superman's power level if his character will not be in the JL.
2. I don't see him as Shazam, I see him as BA and while he is an antihero (was the Shazam of the ancient times) so......

That gives me to the conclusion that he's either MM, Orion if he's a hero.
Maybe he's Captain Atom but I'm more inclined to one of the two from the above.

I could see him being MM. His description fits quite a list of DC characters, though. I don't remember him saying he would play a good guy. If that's the case, it kinda slims down the list a bit. People have mentioned Aquaman, but I don't see him as Aquaman at all.

Orion would be an interesting choice... Though I'm still hoping it's either Lobo or Black Adam. Is Jason Mamoa still up for a DC role? He might make a good Lobo.

Are we really getting all those Vertigo movies and only 2 DC movies? Hasn't WB seen how successful Marvel has been? I'd see movies like The Flash, Wonder Woman, etc., but I am much less likely to see movies based off of Vertigo material. Not that it's bad, it's just not what I want to see.

Vertigo is better than DC. If they go half and half I'll be happy.

Doesn't matter what's better. The focus should be the same as for the Marvel characters, to adapt all the ones that are a part of pop culture, and also a few superheroes more :)

Marvel Studios are doing far more than just pop culture icons. Before the Iron Man film, the entirety of my exposure to the character was Nelson Muntz saying "I am, Iron Man, nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh- vote for me".

The Marvel Studios icons are Hulk, maybe Cap.

Warner have, Superman, Batman Wonder Woman and Robin.

Yeah, ol' Tony Stark was a B-lister before 2008. I'd even say that as far as pop culture goes, Captain America wasn't even taken seriously as a character. Maybe two people knew who Thor was, let alone thought he'd actually get his own film.

Honestly, not being able to regain the X-Men and Spider-Man rights was a blessing in disguise for Marvel.

Aquaman can become an A-lister with the right director, writer and production. Heck Blade was a Non-lister and his movies were successful.

Note that I said "Marvel characters" in my post above. :)
It expands the term a little

Because his character is really strong. Seriously, it's just him quantifying how powerful his character will be, it doesn't automatically mean that he's in JL. One has nothing to do with the other. For instance, Black Adam would fit the "Superman levels of power" descriptor.

GOTG and Ant-Man say high.

Can you imagine if one of the 3 movies is a krypton prequel? That'd be awesome.

More Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon would be fantastic.

Oh yeah!!! I want to see their friendship, Jor-el achievements, Zod heroics and how he became General, more House of El, mention of Brainiac and the origins of Faora. :D

could you imagine Dr. Fate solo movie. or part of the JL Dark?

It expands the term a little

Woverine and Spider-Man were sold to other companies.

If we were to apply the same stipulation to Warner Brothers then those characters would no longer be relevant to this thread- which is about films being distributed by Warner Brothers.
