If we get a DC Cinematic Universe, what movies would you want?(other than the usual)

Other than the obvious choices, I'd like

Manhunter (Kate Spencer version)
The Atom
Captain Atom
Dr Fate
New Gods
Etrigan the Demon
Hawkgirl
Zatanna
Hourman
Plastic Man
Lobo
The Darkstars

I realize that the magical characters are all connected to the Dark Universe movie by Del Toro. I cannot wait for that. I listed the one si think would work best as solo's as well.

Captain Marvel please. And none of this calling him Shazam business, Captain Marvel is what he should be called.

New Gods is for me one of the top options, Animal Man could be neat too.

At one point i would like to see the Teen Titans too, with the Perez/ tv series characters, which means Cyborg shouldn't be used on Justice League :cmad:

Teen Titans
Nightwing
Sandman
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter
JL: Dark with Constantine, Etrigan, Deadman, Dr. Fate. Swamp Thing, The Spectre, Zatanna, and Phantom Stranger
New Gods
Suicide Squad
Green Arrow: Escape From Supermax
Catwoman
Joker
Shazam
Plastic Man

A buddy movie with Plastic Man/Elongated Man directed by Shane Black.

:oldrazz:

-Nightwing
-Deathstroke
-Shazam
-Green Arrow
-Suicide Squad
-Birds of Prey
-The Joker
-Justice League Dark
-Black Canary
-Zatanna
-Hawkman/Hawkgirl

I think WB needs to take the following people, lock them together in a room for a month without food or water, and let them all split up multiple writing and directing duties to their likings:

Guillermo Del Toro
Jonathan Nolan
David Goyer
Larry Wachowski
Lana Wachowski
Zack Snyder
Ben Affleck

Let all seven people do whatever the hell they want, and make it one giant cohesive project.

Snyder does Justice League
Affleck does Batman
Jonathan Nolan takes over Superman
David Goyer does Wonder Woman
Del Toro does Green Lantern
The Wachowskis do The Flash

... whatever the hell they want. A WB/DC dream team.

My top choices would be
-Martian Manhunter
-Green Arrow
-Shazam
-John Stewart Green Lantern/Green Lantern Corps origin story
-The Atom

Finally finished my 4-part video series where I unload my thoughts on how WB can straighten this whole DC superhero ship. Obviously we've got Batman/Superman, which I wanted to see before WB made the announcement, along with Wonder Woman, which is really their winning lottery ticket.

Then there's the project discussed part 4, which could bring it all together in an unexpected way. Check it out!

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Part 4:

Probably way down the line, but a Shazam movie, and/or a Superman/Shazam movie could be a lot of fun.

It'll probably cause too many comparisons to Flash/Superman though.

Captain Marvel

One cameo I would love in it.

Jim Nabors. " Shazam Shazam Shazam "
His Gomer Pyle catchphrase

Ok we know that EVERYONE wants Wonder Woman, Flash, Batman/Green Lantern reboot what other movies would you want to see? This is assuming the DCCU becomes just as good as the MCU(Marvel Cinematic Universe)?

Personally I want to see:
  • Captain Marvel/Shazam
  • Hawkman
  • Justice Society
  • The Legion of Superheroes
  • The Suicide Squad
  • New Gods
Suicide Squad is happening. Would absolutely love a Justice Society movie. Maybe have Hawkman/Hawkwoman in that, showing the past and how they were mystery men/contemporary folklore. Then have Hawkman/Hawkgirl as resurrections of those two in modern day, and how superheroes are out of the bag with Zod's attack on Metropolis.

New Gods could fit into a Superman film or Justice League film, imo.

Booster Gold
Would love a Booster Gold film. Especially since Blaze Comics, which publishes his fictional self, is in Man of Steel.

Booster doesn't have enough potential to make a great film. Booster and Blue Beetle would be okay... I guess. Still would make a boring film when you can think about all the possibilities with DC characters
That might be cool. And honestly, I do think Booster could have a film on his own, but it would be stronger if he had supporting, like Ted. The beginning could be in the future, him working in the museum, showing Easter eggs all over the place for DC, and maybe some old recordings of upcoming events playing in the halls. Then he steels the power suit and the Legion ring and uses the time machine to go back.

- Suicide Squad
- A noir detective version of Martian Manhuntr (think Dark City)
- Beware the Creeper (like a slasher/monster movie where the victims are bad guys instead of horny teens)
- The Question
- Swamp Thing movie with Constantine as a supporting player
- Booster Gold (in a meta/deconstruction of the superhero myth) or PLastic Man in the same way.
- Or Plastic Man done as an Edgar Wright style homage/spoof
I actually really like that idea of oldschool J'onn taking the form of the detective, but I'd also be fine with him just becoming part of Justice League just within the story of one of the two films.
The Creeper could be great. As Jack Ryder he's all conservative newscaster, crapping all over the heroes and their antics, but then becomes the Nihilistic Creeper and goes antihero at night.
The Question would be a dream come true. His story could loosely set up "phase 2" or whichever next phase DC will take, by setting up conspiracies that'll lead to bigger events (a crisis).

Animal Man.
I'd be up for that. Maybe he'll have a part or a cameo in JLD/Dark Universe/Heaven Sent? Guillermo del Toro isn't out of the game yet.

"I'm still working on it," del Toro said. "Sandman doesn't figure in the Dark Universe. We have Deadman, we have the Demon, we have Swamp Thing, we have Zatana, we have Constantine, but DC and Warners have been very clear that they are trying to keep those properties separate so when the time comes they can unite them, once they know they're quantifiable.Batman, Superman, Green Lantern... everyone eventually will come together. Right now, they're allowing us independence."

So, like Vertigo/DC titles back in the day, it'll be apart of the bigger picture, but in a subterranean kind of way with the storytelling. More conceptual and in the realms of mystical. But could become a part of the bigger picture. It grabs up what I care about--Zatanna, Deadman, Constantine, Swamp Thing, Etrigan, Spectre--and still doesn't mean cameos won't be in order. Like Doctor Fate or Madame Xanadu or Ragman or Traci Thirteen or Blue Devil or Nightshade. So many to choose from.

So Sandman/Death/The Endless are still up in the air, but do believe that could very well still be happening with Levitt behind the reigns.

Just thought of this. Thought I'd put it in a new post, so as not to create a brick wall.

Some kind of all encompassing title for DC space characters. Like Guardians of the Galaxy was for Marvel, but with more of a Jim Starlin feel to it.

Mystery in Space/Strange Adventures type of thing.

It could have Captain Comet, Starman (Jack Knight, Prince Gavyn, Mikaal Tomas or Will Payton), Adam Strange, Starro, The Weird, L.E.G.I.O.N. (nodding to the future's Legion of Super-Heroes), Hawkman/Hawkwoman (Thanagarians/Rannians/Nth metal), Lobo, The Omega Men, Lady Styx, Dark Stars... It could have a bunch in it. Different races, like Tamaranians, setting up Starfire and Teen Titans. All sorts of things could be placed in this film.

I think a New Gods film could be interesting, a lot of the DC heroes like The Question would be better for television or as cameos in other DC films.

Captain Marvel please. And none of this calling him Shazam business, Captain Marvel is what he should be called.
But he can't be, so he won't.

The ones I most want to see that haven't been announced yet:

Martian Manhunter
The Legion of Superheroes
Swamp Thing
Animal Man

But he can't be, so he won't.

Actually the character could be called Captain Marvel just fine. It's the movie itself that can't actually go by that name. The same principle applied to the comic books DC Comics published with the character once they started using him in their books.

I'll admit I did mistakenly believe the OP was referring to the title, but since you brought it up - when it comes to calling him that, while they may be legally allowed to, you know they won't. Not with Marvel's version being all over the place (title and all) by the time it hits.
