A Batman Cinematic Universe?

A Batman Cinematic Universe

  • Shut up and take my money WB.

  • There's to much focus on Batman's world in the DCEU.

  • Don't really care.

  • I don't think there's a Batman Cinematic Universe going on.

How well would the GA accept a non-Bruce Wayne Batman in the DCEU or in movies in general?

Legacy heroes is something DC does so f***ing well. If done right it has the potential to be great.

But we're dealing with the DCEU here, atm. So there's no guarantee that a.) Dick Grayson doesn't behave like, well, his first name suggests and b.) that the whole legacy aspect is set up in a sane way anyway.

Well, Batman is the DCEU's Iron Man, so they have to shove him in everything too, hell i wouldnt be surprised if he showed up in JLDark too.

I'd actually like it if he did show up in that tbh lol

Lately a lot of what people say to you has nothing to do with what you just said huh, interesting.

Well explain how it did? I said you would be disapointed if you didn't want the Batman universe films connected to the DCEU when they clearly are. Got **** all to do with Batman using machine guns but carry on and twist things if you like.

I don't think they would, and it's not something I want to see. As far as I'm concerned on the big screen Bruce Wayne is Batman. If that means finding another actor to step into the role at some point then so be it.

Lawd.

A BCU will just ensure that DC will remain a distant second to Marvel.

not necessarily, if they use the Multiverse correctly

I don't even get why anyone would come to that conclusion. A Batman Universe would probably compete better financially at this point in time. If you even consider it a completion cause I certainly don't. Only fans seem to give a **** about the "competition" between the two companies. End of the day these are just film companies trying to turn a profit and like any business they wanna be number one sure, but it's not a direct competition like a sports match like some like to think it is.

As you said in that other thread, "obvious troll is obvious."

I'm torn between 'Too much Batman' and 'I don't give a ****'.

Business wise it makes sense but as I said there are other films on the way that show its not solely a BEU just a mostly Batman dominated one.

Batman movies turn enough of a profit to float the other DC movies that flop. Basically all WB needs to do is one Batman related movie and one of DC characters not related to Batman each year and they still make money.

You know, the other way to make sure that your movie make money is to make actually good movies. Maybe WB/DC should try that sometime

I'd like to point out something to everyone.....

.....a poster saying he is not satisfied with what the DCEU is producing does NOT make him a troll....

.....a poster not sharing your opinions does NOT make him a troll.....

.....a poster not praising everything that the DCEU produces does NOT make him a troll....

This site is for discussing all issues that concern comic books and superheroes.....and that includes what people don't like about them. As long as people are civil....this discussion will go on.

If DC are going to have 2-3 films a year, Batman centred characters can dominate 2 of those release a year for a while and then down the line we will probably see them edged down to one a year or so. Financially given Batman is DC's big earner it's a smart move.

I said in my earlier post I'd like it if things had turned out differently for Superman, but given where we are I agree that seems the best way to go.
