No official confirmation, just wondering how many of you guys would be up for a DOA sequel?

Personally I didn't have much expectations for this film, and was pleasantly surprised. It was never aiming for an Oscar, but it was a light, fun popcorn flick with great performances (IMO) from Holly Valance and Jaime Pressly, and the kung-fu action... That was worth seeing the whole film, even if the plot was a little lackluster.

So, is anyone out there hoping for a second round of DOA? :)

How exactly was this film released? I mean, was it given like the Feast treatment where it only played for like a weekend at like a dozen theaters across the country, or something?

It was released in cinemas in the UK and Australia during September, and the direct-to-video DVD release date in the States is in April.

Im so glad i didnt pay money to watch it, because it was complete and utter sh1te! lets hope they never make another one!

Okay, just to clarify... you're not in favour of making a sequel, right? :o :p

The only good thing about it was side boob from Holly, and wow was that an English accent? or did someone stamp on her mouth and her Oz one got messed up.... :whatever:

I wouldn't mind a sequel. :oldrazz:

It needs to have nudity.
Holly Vance and Jaime Pressly naked and I'm good.

won't happen... it didnt even come out in theaters in america :down

i downloaded the dvd though, not bad at all.

devon aoki
jaime pressley
holly valance
the other chick

LOL!
The other chick.
Aren't there two other chicks?
I have yet to see it.
I'd like to.

Girls were hot
The males sucked except Nash... he was cool.
The "story"... Sucked.
Sequel? If Holly Valance wears even less clothes... Okay!

I guess I can see Sarah Carter's character continuing the Dead Or Alive Tournaments in her fathers name

The blonde aka Sarah Carter or the purplehead aka Natassia Malthe?

Carter

Yeah, the blondie... purple hair was barely in the movie. She was hot though, too

I'd rather see a Ninja Gaiden spin-off.

I just finished downloading the first one off torrent. Hope its good:up:

The producers were thinking of making a sequel, but that was even before the first one had been released in cinemas.

I'm not sure how well it did at the box office. They should have focused more on the marketing; hardly anybody heard about it. So I guess all plans for a sequel have halted. At least perhaps until it comes out on DVD in America, if it does well there, maybe a sequel will be greenlighted.

It sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked. It didn't even have any decent fights. I still can't decide which movie was worse. This or Street Fighter.

If there should ever be a sequel, let Paul Anderson have a go at it. He managed to pull off quite a good MK Movie. And if it still sucks, we'll have at least some decent martial arts action.

well, theres a phrase I never thought would see the light of day.

It just doesnt seem to sit right, IMO. Kinda like salad ice cream. just seems odd.

I wouldn't mind one, i just wouldn't see how it could work...

they covered a big chunk of the basis already...

I just would have wished to see the actors being more consistent with their compute based fighting styles.

Holly valance didn't fight at all like christie which was a shame because she looked the part...

if they were to do a sequel, they should ditch the typical bright costumes and go with something more low key but representative of their characters.

also get hitomi in the mix as one of the main chicks

Devon Aoki did the best fights/stunts from all the girls, followed by Jaime Pressly.

Well, in my opinion she did anyway. But Jaime Pressly to me was the highlight of the film. She definitely took her role seriously.

In Australia and the UK, yes.
