This would be the kind of story and characters I would want to see in an X-Men movie.
Mutants are still an urban legend, some believe they exist others don't.
The movie would open in London, a run down neighborhood, it's night, there is an unseen male being chased by an angry mob, they're shouting terms like 'Freak' and 'Mutant', as they give chase they split up into two groups, the male whose appearance is hidden by darkness appears to be running in an odd form, amphibian like, he begins to hop at quite some speed, he is chased down an alley, it's a dead end, with a fence, impossible to jump, blocking the only exit, he miraculously jumps, clings to the wall beside the fence, then jumps again clearing the fence, onto a street, he and his pursuers are separated, the male is then seen full view under a street light, it's Toad. He cockily begins to stride away antagonising his would be attackers, suddenly he's cut off, the second group of attackers have found him. SMASH, a bottle is thrown at Toads head, he falls down, the angry mob approach, Toad curls up into a ball cowering, he shuts his eyes, The mob closes in, BOOM!! Theres a huge atomic like explosion in the distance, a wave of destruction approaches the crowd, the mob immediately run away in hysterics, Toad, left behind, freezes, just staring at the coming wave of destruction, we see his eyes wide open in terror, as the wave approaches, curiously it just passes over him then fades away, there is no destruction, it was an illusion. The street is empty, save for one man who seems to appear out of nowhere, eyes glowing white, it's apparent he was responsible for the illusion, it's Mastermind. Toad is understandably terrified and confused, a voice behind him booms, "As of today, YOU are no longer the victim! Are you ready to take your rightful place in this world?", although we don't see who's speaking the words, it's Magneto.
We cut to a government defence briefing involving the president, government officials Bolivar Trask and Henry Gyrich are informing the president about the existence of mutants. They reveal the amazing abilities they have come across, and how they believe these 'Mutants' to be the next step of evolution for the human race. They claim mutants have been around a while but for some reason, lately they're popping up everywhere. The president can't quite believe what he's hearing, in response they show him video footage of a recently shut down secret program called Weapon X they were involved in, where they were using mutants on covert operations, even experimenting on some. They mention this guy who can absorb energy then fire it right back at you, a guy who shoots red beams from his eyes, then they point to the screen with the weapon X footage, and then they say "this guy, we literally used to cut this guy open every day, and the next days he was fully healed!" We don't see the footage but we hear screams of pain, The president is clearly shaken and disturbed by what he's seen. He asks what state these 'mutants' are in now, the reply is that there was an 'incident' a while back, a lot of these mutants escaped, they managed to round some back up, but others are still out there. The president authorises precautions to be taken, we see drawings of Sentinels in the background.
Cut to a New York high school, it's lunch time, here we meet Hank McCoy, he's 18, huge, a star football player, and he's surrounded by friends, it's obvious he's a popular guy, right from the start it's clear he's just a friendly giant, it's also nodded at how smart he is, across the canteen we see Bobby Drake, he's 16, a below average student with 2 friends at his table, they crack jokes about girls and teachers. Bobby is very laid back and a funny guy, lately he's got the sniffles, he must be coming down with a cold or something, as he and his friends get up to leave we notice an ice patch where Bobby was sat.
The next scene were at a fancy neighborhood in update New York, a cab pulls up outside a house, the driver steps out and pulls a wheelchair from the trunk, he helps out his passenger into the chair, here's our first glimpse of Charles Xavier.
We see John, Elaine and Sara Grey waiting to greet the professor, they tell him Jean is in the garden. There is a nice loving feel within the Grey family. We see Jean in the garden, she's 18, she's using her telekinesis on flowers and leaves swirling all around her, it's a beautiful sight, it's clear she has a strong control of her powers. She greets Professor X like she knows him well.Charles tells Jeans parents he thinks it's time, they agree.
We cut to Magneto and the brotherhood, they are housed in an abandoned warehouse in a derelict area, somewhere in Mew York, they've cleaned the place up and there is some metal manipulation to the building to make it more livable. Toad and Mastermind are making bombs, Mastermind is clearly frustrated and says to toad, "I see our little Prince and Princess are to good to get their hands dirty with us", the camera pans over to Wanda and Pietro in the distance, as we get a closer look at the twins we hear them talking, Pietro is asking Wanda why their Father always belittles him and why does he hate him, Wanda reassures Pietro their father doesn't hate him, He is just stressed about the upcoming plans. We hear an odd rumbling sound, all 4 of the brotherhood appear frightened, enter Magneto. He notices Toad and Mastermind making bombs, he smiles, Mastermind won't even make eye contact with him out of fear. Wanda greets her father asking coyly if everything is alright, he rambles on with a dialogue about how 'Homo Superior' are soon going to be taking their rightful place, he says it's time to reveal themselves, he makes a put down to Pietro, at the end of the scene, the camera focuses on a torn newspaper clipping stuck to the wall, the article is about an upcoming speech from the president in Washington.
The next morning we get our first glimpse of the mansion, a car pulls up, Jean Grey and her family step out, a shot from inside the mansion shows a male, we only see him from the back, he's watching Jean say a tearful goodbye to her family, as they drive away she's left there with a lot of luggage, the male from inside races to her aid, as he opens the door to greet her we realize it's Scott Summers, he's 20, welcome to Xavier's is his greeting, it's clear he's attracted to her.
That same morning is when the Presidents speech is taking place, it's highly televised, with numerous camera crew there, his speech hints at mutants and how humans have to stand together in troublesome times, he can't outright say mutants exist. We begin to hear the odd rumbling noise we heard before in Magnetos lair, next thing cars start moving on there own, metal railings start to bend and warp, we see Magneto, Pietro and Wanda high in the air descending down towards the crowd, he has created a magnetic bubble around himself and the twins (this is why the twins appear to be floating as well, Pietro obviously can't fly, Wanda can, but Magnetos in control this particular moment) police and security personal open fire on them but Magneto stops every bullet, realizing it's no use they lower their weapons. Magneto addresses the crowd of reporters, he begins a speech about the next step for humanity, and how he and his people are very real, quicksilver suddenly speeds through the crowd of security and police taking many of their guns whilst Wanda fires some hex bolts in the air, it isn't in a threatening manner, Magneto just wants the world to see what they are capable of. He tells the crowd about The Weapon X program and the persecution of his people, he tells humanity to be prepared for the inevitable coming war, and how they will not win, he tells how humanity will begin the war because humans fear what they don't understand. After the speech he with the twins simply fly away.
Cut back to Xavier's, we see Professor X, Scott and Jean watching the footage on TV, Professor X turns to his 2 students and says "I think the war has just begun".
There's a montage of media coverage on mutants, newspaper articles, chat shows, news bulletins about new sightings, there is hysteria, witch hunts, friends turn on friends, Religious groups emerge such as the 'Friends of Humanity', claiming mutants to be the devils servants. Coverage of an emergency UN meeting discussing registration. Registration law is passed, any mutants are soon going to be forced to make themselves known and register their details. Reporters interview people on the street, some say it's against 'Human' rights', the counter argument is that mutants are not human, most of the general public is for registration. Media coverage is used as a propaganda tool to install a fear and hatred for mutants.
It's a couple of weeks later, it's night time, we're in a fancy bedroom in a penthouse suite, we meet Warren Worthington, a handsome, playboy, rich kid, 21. He's stood looking at himself in the mirror, we can only see him face on in his reflection in the mirror, he's shirtless, he has a hoody in his hands, it's clear a section has been cut out of the back of the hoody, he puts it on in an awkward manner, then puts on a ski-mask, the camera cuts to outside, we see Warrens bedroom window open, he climbs on the ledge and jumps, suddenly we see this amazing set of wings waft open on Warrens back, he flys gracefully into the night.
Next we see Bobby in his bedroom, he's shivering under his bed sheets, there's snow, ice and frost all around his room, his parents are stood in the doorway looking at their son, they're shivering to, you can see their breath it's so cold, they tell their son everything is gonna be alright, realizing he is a mutant.
Hank is free running around his neighborhood, he finds a spot which he thinks could be challenging and pulls off some amazing, impossible gymnastics, it's quite a fantastical sight, little does he now he's being watched by some local youths and they are recording the whole thing.

His brother Alex was adopted early on, whereas Scott always remained in the children's home, nobody wanted him, he discovered his power age 16, in an angry outburst alone in the woods, his mutant power manifested. When he turned 19 he was approached by the government about his gift, he asked how they knew, they replied they had someone who could locate gifted people, another mutant he guessed. They sweet talked him into joining Weapon X although he didn't need much persuading, when they quickly learned he had zero control of his ability they simply locked him up, he was in solitary and didn't see anybody for months, and he tells her that's when he met the Professor, Scott and Jeans conversation is suddenly interrupted by a telepathic message from Professor X, he wants to inform them about a new mutant he has located, he tells them this one can fly.
Back with Hank, he's on his way to school, unaware that all night and that morning footage of his impossible gymnastics has been trending all over the internet, he's been outed. He gets jumped by a gang of his 'friends' calling him freak and mutant scum, they show him the footage of him on one of their phones, Hank is horrified, his 'friends' beat him quite bad and leave him unconscious on the floor.
We see Warren having a meal with his father at some fancy restaurant, his father brings up the beast like man that's been all over the internet, calling mutants freaks of nature, Warren coldly agrees, his father states he's glad Warren isn't a damn mutie.
Bobby is at home talking with his parents about his 'problem', Bobby is terrified should anyone find out he's a mutant, his parents agree they should keep this quiet and Bobby should stay at home from school, just then Bobby gets a text from a friend saying, 'You hear about McCoy? That freak got beat up real bad, scum deserved it though', this makes him even more terrified.
It's the first day of Mutant registration, Washington is the first state to introduce the law voluntarily, after a month it is mandatory to register nationwide, we see mutants queuing outside a registration building, there are police and barriers protecting the building from angry protesters with anti-mutant intentions. We see Mastermind watching the events from a car down the street, he's holding a mobile phone, he enters a number, BOOM!!! The mutant registration building blows up killing all inside, many outside and maiming many others.
Cut to a television screen, the news is on, they are showing a video Magneto made claiming responsibility for the attack, the tv screen is being watched by the President and Henry Gyrich, the President commands Gyrich to tell Trask to prepare for 'Project Nimrod'.
It's night, Warren is flying around the city with his ski-mask on, he's high in the clouds when he suddenly hears a female voice, "Hey Warren", it's Jean Grey, he's startled and clearly confused as to how she knows his identity, he tries to fly away but Jean stops him using her power, "calm down, I just wanna talk" she lowers herself and Warren to a rooftop where Scot is waiting, straight away Scott and Warren take a disliking to each other, they inform Warren of Xavier's and that he's not alone and doesn't have to hide who he is, he's reluctant and flies away, they tried.
Cut to Hanks house, it's vandalized with broken windows and graffiti with the words freak and mutie scum. Inside we see Hank, in his room, sat on the floor, he's covered in cuts and bruises, he has his head in his hands, we can hear his parents talking to someone, they are saying stuff like, "Just take him now, we can't even step outside the house now, I can't believe the shame he brought to this family, our own son!" It's revealed they are talking to Professor X.
Cut to a huge manufacturing plant, we see Gyrich and Trask discussing production progress on project nimrod and their own personal hatred of mutants after their time at Weapon X, at the end of the scene we see numerous Sentinels in a production line.
The next day we see Xavier introduce Hank to Scott and Jean, they give Hank a tour of the mansion, during the tour we see the Danger Room and the Blackbird, Xavier shows Hank Cerebro, and explains that's how he found him, Hank is fascinated and asks some scientific like questions that leave the professor trumped, he's clearly impressed by Hank. He asks Hank if he'd like to accompany him to visit someone, Hank agrees.
We cut to Professor X, with Hank, having a discussion with Bobby Drakes parents, they agree Xavier's would be great for him, but only if it's what Bobby wants, they tell him Bobby's in the garage. In the garage we discover it's knee deep with snow with Bobby nowhere in sight, the professor makes a snowball and throws it at a seemingly random part of the garage, suddenly his target area begins to move, we see snow stirring slowly, up stands a fully snow form covered Bobby.
Back with Warren and his father, they are in a fancy hotel bar enjoying a drink, Warrens father is drunk and yet again rambling about 'Mutant scum', Warren is losing patience, his father goes on and on until Warren snaps, he barrages his father with abuse about how small minded he is, he rips off his coat and shirt, revealing a harness, he rips that off and his wings are revealed, he's just outed himself, he runs out the hotel and flys away, headed for Xavier's.
It's a new day and we are with the President and Gyrich, Gyrich has a phone to his ear, the President is debating with himself and two advisers about weather or not to go ahead with project nimrod or not, one adviser is dead against it, claiming it inhumane, Gyrich assures him they will only target the Brotherhood, the other adviser is for it, reminding the President about the recent bomb and states The White House could be next, the President looks at Gyrich and nods, Gyrich says through the phone, "Trask, it's a go on Project Nimrod".

Inside we see Hank, in his room, sat on the floor, he's covered in cuts and bruises, he has his head in his hands, we can hear his parents talking to someone, they are saying stuff like, "Just take him now, we can't even step outside the house now, I can't believe the shame he brought to this family, our own son!" It's revealed they are talking to Professor X.
Cut to a huge manufacturing plant, we see Gyrich and Trask discussing production progress on project nimrod and their own personal hatred of mutants after their time at Weapon X, at the end of the scene we see numerous Sentinels in a production line.
The next day we see Xavier introduce Hank to Scott and Jean, they give Hank a tour of the mansion, during the tour we see the Danger Room and the Blackbird, Xavier shows Hank Cerebro, and explains that's how he found him, Hank is fascinated and asks some scientific like questions that leave the professor trumped, he's clearly impressed by Hank. He asks Hank if he'd like to accompany him to visit someone, Hank agrees.
We cut to Professor X, with Hank, having a discussion with Bobby Drakes parents, they agree Xavier's would be great for him, but only if it's what Bobby wants, they tell him Bobby's in the garage. In the garage we discover it's knee deep with snow with Bobby nowhere in sight, the professor makes a snowball and throws it at a seemingly random part of the garage, suddenly his target area begins to move, we see snow stirring slowly, up stands a fully snow form covered Bobby.
Back with Warren and his father, they are in a fancy hotel bar enjoying a drink, Warrens father is drunk and yet again rambling about 'Mutant scum', Warren is losing patience, his father goes on and on until Warren snaps, he barrages his father with abuse about how small minded he is, he rips off his coat and shirt, revealing a harness, he rips that off and his wings are revealed, he's just outed himself, he runs out the hotel and flys away, headed for Xavier's.
It's a new day and we are with the President and Gyrich, Gyrich has a phone to his ear, the President is debating with himself and two advisers about weather or not to go ahead with project nimrod or not, one adviser is dead against it, claiming it inhumane, Gyrich assures him they will only target the Brotherhood, the other adviser is for it, reminding the President about the recent bomb and states The White House could be next, the President looks at Gyrich and nods, Gyrich says through the phone, "Trask, it's a go on Project Nimrod".
