A Haunting in Venice - Kenneth Branagh’s Poirot Returns

Even as a I found Nile a bit underwhelming, it was still a good time, and I just want KB to keep making these forever. So yeah, super hyped, especially with Kelly Reilly being involved.

Fine, but can we get to the actual murder, or haunting with some haste this time?

Surprising they're even making another one since that last one was so horrible.

I loved Orient Express, but was disappointed with Death on the Nile.

The fact that this is a mystery that’s never been adapted for the big screen yet, gets me excited. As well as it being a Halloween Christie mystery is a bonus!

Im sorta surprised a 3rd movie is happening after how the studio buried the sequel. I liked orient express as a one time watch but really struggled to get through death on the nile.

Branagh winning an Oscar this year probably helps. For Fox/Disney, it's established IP, and they probably want the content even though the last movie did only about half the business of the original. That's what studios want.

It helps that this one will be much cheaper to make as it takes place mostly in one location of a mansion, at least in the book.

It looks... okay. Definitely not as interesting as the first two, but I hope Disney releases more after this one, like four more. I'd be nice to binge watch them all back to back in a rainy day.

I like the look of the films, its big cast with only 1 recurring lead character.

A Haunting in Venice, huh? Well, as Italian ghosts say...

not bad to cast Michelle Yeoh, before she had her huge comeback

Yeah, why is this a horror film? I don't believe it will feature actual paranormal elements, but still. Also, why is it in Venice? The novel is not set there as far as I recall. I think it's going to be an extremely loose adaptation this time around.
