Who is she exactly? How does she know Bruce Wayne? I also heard that she figured out that Batman and Bruce were the same person, is that true?

thanx.

Silver was smart, successful, and beautiful...

She was dating Bruce Wayne. Batman showed up at a charity gala she was throwing, and she saw him in person. So she recognized him. How? The way any person of average intelligence would. Someone you're romantically involved with comes into a room wearing a mask, talks a bit, and you recognize them. If you can't recognize the person you're dating on Halloween, that's a relationship that was never meant to be.

Silver's words were "Oh my god! It's Bruce!"

That's how it would be. No nonsensical puzzlement, no need for sleuthing. She was in love with him, she saw him dressed as Batman, and the Batman costume didn't fool her. It was the most obvious, natural story event possible, the one that comic writers had worked like demons not to use. So Englehart did.

Then she saw Batman actually in hand-to-hand for the first time, fighting Joker in the rain, and again she had the normal person-of-adequate-intelligence reaction: It scared her. Every bit of it did. She didn't want to be in a relationship, where who she was dating at the time, would do things like that. So she left Bruce, constantly due to how she feared he was risking his life as Batman.

she was a porn star...not really, but with that name she sure as hell should have been...

Buy Batman: Strange Apparitions for her introduction, and Batman: Dark Detective for her return.

She was also in a Legends of the Dark Knight arc. Issues 132-136.

I really like her.

It's a shame she wasn't used more. She and Bruce had great chemistry.

True. I cannot wait for Batman: Dark Detective 3 , which will have her as well.
More Silver, the better.

Can you tell me more about this book? I've recently got Strange Apparitions and Dark Detective- are they parts 1 and 2?

Batman: Dark Detective 3 has not come out yet. Englehart and Rogers after their Marvel project the Black Rider, will continue Batman: DD3.
So far the characters will include according to Englehart.....Silver St. Cloud, The Penguin, Deadshot, and Dalia ( the 1939 villianess who was an associate of the early Batman villian The Monk).

Englehart considers Strange Apparitions Dark Detective I, last years' series as Dark Detective II, and the next as Dark Detective III. Dc will probably as some point rename the first one in a new paperback.

Thanks Ceb-Man!

Here's the Joker about to torture Silver...

Dark Detective I probably in Year 6. After Ra's al Ghul's first appearance and before Nightwing.
Dark Detective II can be put before Hush (but it don't think it's REALLY canon)

And then sell Dark Detective immediately, because except for the Joker, it's 100%, Grade-A, Classic Style, Name Brand, Good Old Fashioned Self-Starting, Extra-Nonfat, Pope-Endorsed, American Bull**** as seen on TV.

Quite right. It's very clearly meant to be set pre-Crisis. I'd say Silver Age. And we all know what Silver Age means. Yep, that means 100%, Grade-A, Classic Style...well, you know.
