ok while i was playing COD tonight the picture on my TV got all grainy, i thought it was the disk at first so i cleaned it put it back in but when i put it back in i had no picture what so ever so i put the a/v cable for the wii just to test it out to make sure my TV still works so i can still get audio but no actual picture can anyone help me?

Sounds like it might just be a problem with your 360's AV cable.

Also beware it might be your video card. Same thing happend to me and I thought it was my cables but then I tried new ones, turns out my video card burned out and I had to send it in to get repaired.

how would i know if it was the video card, like describe some of the characteristics..

I don't have a 360, but have had a video card burn out on my PC before. It's a lot easier to detect on a PC as you can just switch parts in and out until you find the culprit. However I'd look for tell tale video glitches.

Look up video game artifacts and look thru some images, that's a good tell tale sign (as that's how I knew my PC card burnt out).

ok CB you were totally right, it was the video card i tried using one of my friends cables and it didn't phase it so i called up microsoft they said they would repair it but it would cost $100 b/c my warranty was up for it..

Isn't it great paying half the cost of the system just to get it repaired? :o

****in' microsoft, but i don't get why its costing me 100 when i had it fixed last summer and i got the shipping and repair for free when i never had a warranty either (was it because i had the red ring?)

Every console has a 1 year warranty, every console also has a 3 year warranty for the RROD (Three red lights). Otherwise it's a flat 100 dollar fee no matter what is wrong with the system.
