well i'm 10 pages back catching up, but more than likely won't before i go to bed tonight.

i just wanted to share this lol

*nerd alert*
i was checking my email tonight like i usually do and i had an email from fanfiction.net. normally one would probably think this spam, but i had a hunch and clicked on it. it was a story alert that a new chapter had been posted to a story i was "following". of all the hundreds (maybe thousands?) of fanfics i ever read in my teens, i think there was only 1 story i ever set an alert for. yall don't know how excited i am haha!
miraculously, i remembered the login info. it says i haven't logged in since apr 9 2006.

i don't know why this makes me so happy, but it's usually the little dorky things that do. i can't wait to re-read the story from the beginning and i hope i enjoy it now as much as i did then. i emailed myself the link so i can start it tomorrow.

maybe part of this is because right now i'm reading the worst book i've ever read in my life and i can't wait for it to be over. mind you, i've read Twilight and the 50 Shades trilogy, and believe me, this is worse than that

also, before anyone teases me about reading those books, i read them so that i could have an educated opinion on the since everyone was talking about them and were either obsessed or hating them.

but feel free to tease me about the fanfiction thing lol i feel like my fangirl spark has been relit since summer. i've been reading some Graphic Novels and i kinda want to catch up everything i've missed in the 10 or so years

Hey... hey... hey... Not putting blame on you or anything. I think the mods were being a little touchy... But that's just it. We should keep in mind that the mods can be touchy. AND... I kinda don't blame them. They have an annoying job to do, which is keeping all us filthy animals in line to a certain degree. Like I said... I think we can walk up to a certain line but we cross it and C. Lee and others are gonna come down on us. I just don't want unnecessary bannings or infractions being handed out since this is such a great crew of posters (despite what Sawyer says. ) and that would be a shame. I'm as guilty of going over as anyone but I think we are currently under scrutiny here. Just trying to be careful is all. Of course, in the end... You do you. I can't make anyone do anything.

some of the jokes get a bit over the top and i'm not a fan of the constant GoT RPG and references. there are times that the lounge thread gets cliquish, which can make people not on the "in" feel like they aren't a part so they don't participate. that's why i don't post in here as much these days as i don't really fit in with that flow and some of the humor

CC the Mod:
i'm pretty slack in here for the most part and let yall chat it up, but sometimes yall step over the line and it gets lewd and crude, which is not okay. lately the line has been blurred too much so it needs to tone down a bit.
sometimes it's easier to make a broad public in the thread, especially a thread that carries heavy traffic to get the point across and to hopefully reach more members/viewers of the thread.

on the plus side, once everyone quit trying to play detective and treated new users like members and just kept conversations going instead of witch hunts, i think there was improvement.

tl;dr: behave, play fair, and make sure everyone gets a turn to play
