Horror A "Wolfman" Reboot Already Underway

Teaser was great . Really looking forward to this.

Synopsis:
Interesting that they seem to be following the Johnston film's "twist," and also that this film appears to take place over the course of just one night. Awesome trailer, though!

Okay, this trailer basically confirms that the "reveal" at Universal was basically just a Spirit Halloween version. Whew.

If I were Whannell, I would still be pissed about it. Save that **** for after the movie comes out, not before anyone has even seen a goddamn teaser.

I was at the NYCC panel and didn't see a good look at the beast in this (I was in the back). What does he look like?

Also, the teasers for The Woman in the Yard and Drop were really damn good (shame they weren't released online yet). The former's confirmed to be some sort of supernatural movie about a black mother dealing a mysterious being that looks like a woman dressed in all black (think the Reverend Mother from Dune). We don't know what her deal is, as all we get is her with blood on her hands and creepily saying "Today's the daayyyyyy" in a casual manner, but it's probably ill intentions. Drop, however, is more of a Hitchcockian-style thriller from the guy behind Happy Death Day and Freaky. It's about a single mother out on a first date with a guy at a fancy restaurant......only to start getting texts (or "drops", hence the title) from a mysterious, malicious person who has access to the cameras at the restaurant and her home somehow. The woman's forced into a difficult choice by the texter: kill her date or her son dies. It looks really intense and I can't wait for you guys to see this!

Just an FYI, they've been showing tv spots where you do see how he looks.

Saw a clip on Twitter that appears to be the transformation scene in full and stopped watching. What a ridiculously bone-headed decision to reveal this ahead of time, literally days before the movie’s release.

The person in charge of that decision should be fired. Just absurd.

I haven't been following the news on this movie but what's the box office tracking been? Maybe they thought interest wasn't where it should have been a few days out?

Doesn't matter. Release new, better TEASERS to TEASE the transformation and Wolf Man all you want, but don't spoil it online in full. It reduces the incentive for people to go see the film and see what it all looks like. Obviously, there will be a lot more to the film itself and maybe even a different kind of transformation, but that's besides the point.

Nosferatu is killing it at the box office. That film's marketing didn't show Count Orlock AT ALL before the film's release, and they still haven't released teasers/TV spots showing him weeks later.

My dude chill lol. I don't disagree with you, I'm just saying that unfortunately that's might be the reason.

Those reviews sound great. Seen more of the design in the latest spots and still not convinced on it, but it's how it's framed and shot in the movie that counts.
