Infinity War A4: Who gets the screentime?

So will we have smaller roles for everyone who died in this? I kinda hope we don't see them only show up in the 3rd Act. It'd be nice if we somehow got to see them wherever they ended up.

Less Guardians in the next film?

We're suppose to get a lot of Hawkeye as well as AntMan and the Wasp.

And I guess we get a lot of Cap this time around

Given how there was no traditional act structure in this it's hard to say what will happen in Avengers 4, but I do think during the last 30 mins every characters will share the screen together.

You're right. Had they killed off Stark, that'd be a huge cliffhanger for the sequel. Much bigger than Spidey or BP's dying.

Go tell that to Iron Man who's been central in all three films. Thor just barely got more screentime than Gamora to be honest, it wasn't as much as people are making it out to be.

I don't need more Cap or Black Widow. If this is gonna be Cap's last movie though, then it makes sense for him to have a bigger presence. But Widow doesn't really have any business having a major role in this story IMO

I'm sure it'll be her last film as well. (maybe outside of her solo film). But her story is tied to Cap, so her role should be pretty significant.

I'll take less Thor screentime in favor of more fleshed out fight scenes. As long as he gets more screentime than he did in A1 and A2 atleast.

I want to see a Doctor Strange vs Thanos or Strange, Stark, Wong, and Spidey vs Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian level fight scene from the thunderer.

I'd rather see Cap get the most screentime over Stark though, I have a serious case of Iron Man fatigue.

Look, we all know why Iron Man is still gonna get central treatment. He was the match that lit the fuse of the MCU and this is gonna be the climax of his story whether he dies or not. And Cap is a central character, as beloved as Iron Man at this point (if not more so) who was almost completely sidelined in IW. And it's likely his last movie. And there's obviously going to be some conclusion for Hulk as well. And there's no way you can argue that Hulk has been a screen-hog. He deserves his due.

Thor was a total boss in this film, he'll still get epic moments in A4 I'm sure. But he doesn't have nearly as much stuff to resolve. You should be happy, it seems like Thor is gonna stick around in some way, if not get another sequel!

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't really care if Thor get's the most screentime and focus I never really did. I am very grateful and happy he got as much focus as he did in IW and I don't expect that to happen again in A4.

I just don't want him going back to Avengers 1 or AOU levels of screentime and focus, he had virtually ZERO character growth in those two films combined.

That's fair to want right?

Yeah I take solace in that and they've been my favorite MCU directors since The Winter Soldier. Their treatment of Thor solidified them as my faves for years to come.

it’s a fake out. The people who died this time are brought back. The people who survived will be replaced by the people coming back. It’ll probably end with the now familiar statue of the original avengers in a memorial park or something.

Not really. Falcon's and Bucky's story is more tied to Cap's. The Russos lumped BW with Cap since TWS because they interchanged Sharon Carter's role to hers.

Yeah, they are definitely meeting up and resolving things before likely being key in the final fight which they might not make it out from.

Agreed. The Russos already said those who had less screen time in IW would get more time in A4. Now, I don't think Iron Man will get a reduced role, but Thor I see Cap and Thor basically trading. I will predict Iron Man, Cap, and Hulk are the main characters. Hawkeye I also see having a big role.
