Age of Ultron Aaron Johnson is Quicksilver

^ You do realize that same set of people work in Hollywood, who make movies for different Studios.

For example, Joss Whedon was earlier hired by WB for WW movie, before they cancelled the project... or that Chris Evans has starred in comic book movies made by WB, Fox and Marvel, same thing goes for DOP, music composers and FX artists.

So, it's not quite separate really.

I have nothing against the individual people.

If Brian Singer was going to make a Marvel Studios film next year, I'd most likely be singing his praises.

If Robert Downey joined Spider-Man 4 as J Jonah Jameson, I'd probably gripe about how wrong he is for that character and how Sony's Spider-Man films continue to do nothing for me.

If it's under Marvel Studios' collective umbrella...I'm loving it. If it's Marvel, but it's not under that umbrella, I'm either completely disinterested or hoping for failure.

I kind of see your point. Sony and Fox didn't really care about third tier characters until they saw they could create a connected universe like the MCU.

But I'm glad that Spider-Man and those other guys don't belong to Marvel. It gives lesser characters a chance to shine in the MCU.

What characters are you talking about? Sinister 6? Fox has had way less popular characters the QS in their flicks. As far as connecting Sony has been trying to make Venom for years. Fox shoehorned in Deadpool and Gambit as well, hoping to expand. They went about it all wrong though.

Fox's new film lineup till 2018 looks the exact same as it did last decade, minus Daredevil characters. No films for X-Force, Deadpool, Surfer etc getting greenlit. They still are not taking a risk on a new property, but they have had no problem putting lesser known characters in their films. Same old, only difference is they seem to want a universe with mashing F4 and X-Men. Which sucks.

You know, I was watching the movie again yesterday and, for as much as people say this about Hawkeye, Thor feels like even less a part of the team. He has zero one-on-one dialogue scenes with any of the other members, only that little talk with Coulson. At least Hawkeye had his relationship with Widow as an in.

I imagine both Thor and Hawkeye will be given the opportunity to develop relationships with the other members in this

Thor had a bunch of scenes with Hulk. Maybe if theres more Hulk there will be alot of Hulk/Thor interaction?

Minor nitpick. Does anyone think Johnson should look leaner? He's definitely bulked up, but I also thought someone super fast should have a faster metabolism as well, thus making it harder to put on a lot of weight. I mean I have a fairly fast metabolism and still eat lot but you wouldn't be able to tell that.
He is lean...

This is nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking at its finest. Now we're talking about super heroes metabolism. :whatever:

He so nourish. Somebody take away his samich. :o
(did I do that right?)

He looks plenty lean to me.

There are some Photos where it seems as if he has some padding under his sports-shirt, especially in the stomach/ab-area. You can see his Chest, Arms and Shoulders have quite some mass. I don´t think that this will appear that way in the finished movie and if he will have a shirtless scene he will be as ripped as before.

All I can do is  after reading the last few posts regarding ATJ's physique.:csad:

We really don't need that stuff in the MCU threads. We have legit acclaimed actors with extensive resumes in these films. Plenty of other stuff to discuss.

For those who want to talk physique, you are gonna love the Gal Gadot/Wondie threads. Seriously, you'll be in hog heaven.

I have no idea why people are taking sides. I'm genuinely excited for both films.

The same reason people take sides on Maguire or Garfield as Spider-man or Keaton or Bale as Batman. It's two interpretations of the same character. DOFP has chosen to go pretty far away from the comic source material.

Yes but we're all still going to have a good time. I mean, yes making comparisons is fair but it's not like one is a goodie and the other is a baddie

Ive enjoyed all the X-Men films for the most part. I think First Class is one of the best. So Ill def check out DOFP. That said, the Marvel CU is my #1 favorite out of all the studios doing super hero movies. :word:

all i know is that Aaron Johnson's Quicksilver is more believable as Fassbender-Magneto's kid than Evan Peters-Bisquicksilver.

Regardless, two different actors playing two quicksilvers in two different movies just somehow sucks.

Lol I don't get how this is such a difficult concept to grasp... they have nothing to do with each other.

It's not difficult, it's just stupid. Just my opinion. Why have the same character in two different marvel films when X-Men should've brought one of their other gallery of heros to emphasize. Leave Quicksilver to The Avengers.

Or, considering he is the son of magneto, leave him with X-Men, and have someone else brought in with The Avengers. It's going to be all about comparing the quicksilver's come 2015. Which is probably why it was done in the first place for the hype. I gather the storyline perhaps warranted it. Just interested in seeing if his character was necessary for which film the most.

Well, I agree that Fox announcing Quicksilver was going to be in their movie for one sequence replacing Juggernaut, right after Marvel did their announcement was not a classy move, but theres nothing we can do about it.

The answer to this is already clear.

DOFP's QS isn't even the son of Magneto from what I've heard. Seems to me Singer just put him in the movie to pre-emp Marvel's AOU.

And yet QS still appears in the MCU before Singer's version.

You've heard wrong.

Also, both Whedon and Singer wanted to use Quicksilver, having nothing to do with each others' movies, and copyright laws allow it.
I'd be less bitter about there being two different versions of the character in the movies and more positive that we're getting not only one but two versions, as opposed to a lot of characters that don't even have one.
