Some people forget Quicksilver was an X-Men before an Avenger. So i don't get why people are complaining here that Quicksilver is in DOFP.

The grand Irony of the whole thing is that while Fox owns their mutant heritage, Marvel own the rights to everything to give them something close to there real origins that fox can't even touch.

Marvel has Chthon the elder god/The Other. (He gave Scarlet Witch the ability to use chaos magic in the comics.)

Ontop of that you have the Inhumans connections. Bova was created by the High Evolutionary to raise and take care of the Twins as infants.

Quicksilver married the High evolutionary's daughter and became an inhuman prince. (Marvel is planing on making an Inhuman movie. so we might see these connection play out in the future.)

Scarlet Witch hooks up with one of Ultron's creations Vision.

It's like most of there history is with Marvel so when fox uses them they won't be able to really do anything with there characters. Most of the Twins best stories are with the Avengers.

You might not realise this but Whedon use Cthon as a replacement for Mephisto because he was owned by Sony at the time (Ghostrider license). They just play the role of trusted Advisor. Cthon/Movie and Mephisto/Comics don't work FOR Thanos they collude with him. They colude with him because they stand to mutually benefit from their dealings with him.

Mephisto advised Thanos in exchange for a Cosmic Cube.

Mephisto also advised Thanos and helped him get the Infinity Gauntlet and all gems. Then he betrayed Thanos and tried to steal the Gauntlet right off his hand.

He also tick Thanos into limiting him self with the gauntlet on so that the Heroes would have a chance at defeating him. (I willing to bet Loki will be used for this roll when the MCU version happens)

One of Chthon's aliases is "the Other", and he does resemble him, so...

I don't know how I feel about Avengers QS yet. I like Wanda actually but QS is up in the air. At this point I'm leaning more towards DOFP's QS but that might be just because I have seen more of him on film finished.

I hope Whedon can really sell Johnson as QS because I like Peters better for the role overall.

Chthon alternate name in the comics is "The Other" and they look nearly identical.
