Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom on HBO

I love this show. ( Don't want to wait until November.

I'm concerned that they won't be able to duplicate the greatness of season 2 which pretty much could have ended the series perfectly. I think they're just doing a season 3 just to do it.

I trust Aaron Sorkin to be able to conjure up something worthwhile. I've enjoyed the show since episode 1, it probably helps that I'm in the UK that really has no clue about US politics so I just see it as any other TV show. However, there are some points where it is too overly cheesy.

The whole Genoa storyline was really well played out I thought. The finale was incredible too.

However you can make another season of anything as long as it's done right. I was against 24 coming back but they brought it back well. I thought Breaking Bad could have been left at 4 but they blew me away with Season 5. Sorkin said he feels he figured out the show when writing Season 3 so it could be the best.

The season premiere is November 9th and is only 6 episodes long........six. :(

Awhh that sucks! 9 episodes for the first 2 always felt short! I hope it's one long story arc.

Did Sorkin write all the episodes? I remember rumours he wasn't going to.

So the entire series is only 24 episodes? That's an entire season for some network shows...

That sucks more than anything that has sucked before. :( I love this show and now it will be gone all the sooner.

Most cable network shows have only 10-13 episodes per season. So it's just about 2 seasons. I recall reading that HBO has everyone on contract for another season in case Sorkin wants to come back to it.

I thought most people didn't enjoy the second season(vs the first)?

The first season was no doubt stronger than the 2nd but I enjoyed season 2.

See I thought Season 2 was where the show really hit it's stride. S1 only showed flashes of brilliance but I didn't like how every major news story was connected to someone in the office.

Whatevs. It's all IMO. I'm just happy Grace Gummer is back. That girl is so freaking cute. We may have lost Maggie's roommate to that dumb CBS show but we still got Meryl Streep's daughter. :)

I'm looking forward to this tonight. I enjoyed both seasons equally, such a great cast. :D

Ok, my fears of the show not operating on the same level as last season have been quelled. Tonight wasn't as good as S2....it was better.

I can't believe Sorkin doesn't want to do this show anymore....I don't get it. It's so god damn good.

Great first episode. Sucks this show is on its last season. :(

Hell of an episode... might be top 3. So, witty and tightly written. Nice development around the Boston Bombing.

I didn't even know this was premiering last night, but luckily my DVR was still set from last season. Haven't watched the premier yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Good episode. All of the different plot lines were interesting.

Six? Damn... While I like quality over quantity... Six?

Great set up for the season.

Six is too short. Not like this show ever had a long season, but I'd rather have 8 or 9. :(

Yeah 8/9 was the least I thought they'd do.

Im just gonna wait for them to air and watch them back to back.

Don and Sloan are perfect for each other. :atp:

Those two crazy kids were very entertaining tonight.

I can'tt believe they are gonna try to wrap this up in 6 episodes.:cmad: Damn you, Sorkin! This show doesn't need to end!
