I hope that Sorkin has a way to make this all right in 50 minutes. Pruitt and his band of merry ****heads need to be dealt with and ACN needs to be taken from their grasp somehow. I didn't watch this show to see it end with ACN owned by that ****head.
Didn't like the Charlie stuff.
Didn't like the Charlie stuff.
Not because I'm sad or anything. Mainly because I didn't believe it for a second, and it wasn't earned. Last episode he was ready to ring the guy's neck, but in this very next episode he's his manic lap dog. I get that time has passed and Charlie made clear he didn't want to fight anymore. But there is not fighting and there is losing your ****ing mind. Charlie was psychotic. Why? He gains nothing by behaving that way, and Sorkin didn't bother to establish any leverage that Pruitt might have over Charlie that would cause him to act this way. Charlie wouldn't act that way if he was truly tired of fighting. He'd just tell Pruitt to go to hell and quit or wait until he was fired. And the excuse "Well, he was sticking around for the team" doesn't work because he clearly wasn't doing stuff for the team anymore. He was just trying to keep his new boss happy. So Charlie's behavior just looks like nonsense created by Sorkin so he can have a heart attack happen. Even ****ing Newsroom can't have a final season without killing a major character. This isn't GOT. Not every final season needs a "shocking" death.
