I have this idea that JJ will get a superiority complex out of it in the future. That's just the way I feel the character heading on the show.
Ooooo JJ heel turn...I would like... it would make sense with his built up agnst with his parents only really caring for him once he got his powers... I could dig itI keep getting this sense that he'll eventually realize how far beyond everyone else he is and start playing Machiavellian games, manipulating people for what he perceives as the greater good.
So with JJ's Super Genuis powers did it also upgrade his brain's memory becuase he seems to remember a lot quickly

Isn't his power related solely to math?
I may have missed it but what has he done besides that.
You make a good point about his strength but it's a show about a family who falls in water and gets super powers. If you're looking for plausibility you're really barking up the wrong treeIsn't his power related solely to math?

For my part it was ludicrous. How does his enhanced brain grant him the arm strength or physical stature necessary to play quarterback? Why would he even want to play football?
Now pool or billiards that would be cool and sensible. It would demonstrate his power without straining believability.

I thought the football stuff was a reach too. Heightened brain activity isn't going to help him read coverage, throw a proper fade route or survive a hit from a blitzing linebacker.
It made a little sense at first, but then he had the nerve to get indignant about it and shed tears when confronted. At that point, I became a fan of his *****etastic teacher who's intent on busting him ...and I really can't stand that guy.

To add........ his IQ must have been increased at the expense of his parents. How obvious can the reason behind his new "talents" be? .....and yet the parents pursue drug use as an explanation?
how did the football not make sense with a superbrain that doing complex equations in mere fractions of a second. JJ told his sister it wasn't a bout size to play football, in real life doug flutie was a 5"7 quarterback in NFL . Pretty sure in his freshman year of highschool he was a little bigger than JJ. JJ's superbrain is allowing him to solve complex equations on the fly. For example on his first pass he adjusted the way he held the ball in his hands for better trajectory and trajectory is responsible for the flight of the ball which accounts for the accuracy on his passes. My point being his ability with math if nothing else is the most feasible. It's nice to see someone understands that the dumb jock theory is a failed one. The math jj did while playing quarterback is done
by all quarterbacks on a more instinctual level.
You're kidding with Doug Flutie analogy right....he is a consumate athlete.
So football plays can be broken down into a formula of timing angles etc. I get it and accept the thought, but a very important part of the success of the formula is the speed, and distance of the thrown football, and that's where JJ would fail. Nothing about his intellectual capacity grants him the arm strength to carry out the most crucial calculations of the formula.
There is nothing about a super-brain that grants a 98 lb weakling the arm strength to throw the football at the speed and distance required.
i dont get how the mom has superspeed but couldnt just reach back in to the robbers trashbag to get her own ring. but later can run to a keycard and swipe it before anyone can see her on camera.
Convenient writing. It's becoming a theme.
She could have knocked out all four/five of the robbers and no one (save the family) would have been any the wiser, especially in a darkened room.
Unless it's an instance where it strikes me as a truly ridiculous break in what's established, I just shrug my shoulders.
