they can say it all they want to, but watching the show, they certainly haven't. and from watching the show, the Haitian has the power of erasing memories and nullifying powers. now perhaps the latter is the same as the former, ie, that his power is mental blocks, but then why would one require physical contact while the other would only require his nearby presence?

The memory removal is a far more fine tuned process. Think of it like flicking through a rack of around a million cd's to get the ten that you want, whereas shutting off the powers is just like grabbing a handfull. hence the requirement that he make physical contact...

Or he could carry a pebble and fly really fast and let it go right before he passes him and watch it plow through the persons skull.

Please think about the ability to fly at hypersonic speed before down playing it so much.

While there may be other powers flashier or even just better being able to fly at hypersonic speed is quite an impressive power and could be used o do some major damage to someone with very little thought required.
