The Deadpool game from High Moon Studios and Activision is creeping up on us, now with an official release mention of "summer 2013." The Deadpool Bugle spotted an ad for Deadpool in some comics last week, complete with the launch window right in everyone's faces. We previously heard half of that – the "2013" part – so it looks like things are narrowing down.

We've contacted Activision to clarify the launch window for Deadpool.

yeah this is the ad i saw last week. notice the different costume...

Good to see it's coming in the summer. So far things are looking good.

Man I like that costume. It doesn't match the in game suit.

Haha, fantastic. Seriously if he doesn't get a movie give him an animated series on Adult Swim or something.

Damn it, horrible feelings are settling in over me. I want to like it, I really REALLY want to like it but I'm not feeling it. I want Kelly's Deadpool or even Nicieza's not Way's. :( Maybe, hopefully, the trailer is tonally a bit more "Duke Nukem" ish than the actual game...

Damn it.

Am agreeing with the man above. Looks like a horrible videogame.

I wouldnt have it any other way than this over the top style game it seems we are getting. Just looks like way too damn much fun, plus Nolan North owns that role.

Loved that trailer. I can't wait for the game. The humour seems to be right at least. Hopefully the game will deliver on gameplay as well.

Anyone have any ideas as to who the main bad guy is? I wanna say its Mr. Sinister based on some of those bigger goons. They kind of have his look and we know some of the enemies are cloned from the main baddie. IDK tho, just throwing out s**t to see what'll stick.

They totally nailed the combat for Transformers, im sure they can nail Pools.

I hope they'll also focus on the less fun side of the character. I don't want non-stop action all the time. I want some drama too. Deadpool is not as interesting when he acts like a Looney Toon all the time.

I'll wait for reviews. It's throwing way too much of a Duke Nukem Forever vibe my way.

I really wish Joe Kelly would get back on Deadpool and bring Siryn back into his life. Daniel Way's Deadpool has pretty much flat out ruined the character at this point - they jury's still out on the Marvel NOW relaunch.

I mean, really this looks about as funny as Eat Lead.

I had no idea what to expect, the trailer is my first real exposure to the game, but it looks like fun! I don't think I'll be rushing out to pay full price for it, but if someone got it for me at Christmas I certainly wouldn't complain.

Eat Lead was awesome. :o

Man, Kelly could move so effortlessly between hilarious laugh out loud moments like the Spider-Man parody issue and then follow that up with the character at his absolute darkest, leaving the reader feeling morally repulsed, with both depictions feeling absolutely true to the character.

I wasn't expecting a deep character study or anything but it looks like they've leaned into the elements of the Way interpretation of the character that I like the least.
