Obviously Heath Ledger is right there. But I am sure there are quite others.

Tom Cruise in Collateral
Robin Williams in Insomnia

Henry Fonda in Once Upon a Time in the West

DiCaprio in django.
Jude law road to perdition
Vince Vaughn in disturbance or whatever it was called

Matt Damon was pretty good in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Elijah Wood in Sin City and Maniac.

Tom Cruise in Collateral
Nicolas Cage in Face Off
Henry Fonda in Once Upon a Time in the West
Michael Keaton in Pacific Heights
Robin Williams in Insomnia and One Hour Photo
Kevin Costner in Mr. Brooks

Christian Bale in American Psycho and Shaft.

Washington training day
Depp secret window/public enemies
mclovin in kick a 2
Cavill Tristan and Isolde
Butler law abiding citizen

Bale is the first one that came to mind. I need for this guy to play a villain again.

Cage is who I came to say as well. Not just in Face/Off, but in Kiss of Death, as well. That was the first time I saw him as a bad guy, an he was jacked and badass in that one from what I remember.

After watching The Iceman, I'd like to throw Chris Evans into the ring. After seeing him as a goofy vegan villain, Captain America, a cop, a teen jock parody, The Human Torch and so on, Evans is barely recognizable as 'Mr. Freezy'.

Denzel Washington in Training Day was just plain awesome.

Ryan Gosling in Murder By Numbers

Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls

Wesley Snipes-Demolition Man
Charlize Theron-Snow White and the Huntsman
Michael Caine-On Deadly Ground
John Lithgow-Cliffhanger
Kate Beckinsale-Total Recall remake
Kevin Bacon-Sleepers
Nick Cage-Face/Off
Sharlto Copley-Elysium

Liam Neeson as Ra's al Ghul

Bette Davis in What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?

John Hurt as Sutler in V for Vendetta

Patrick Swayze as that child molesting motivational speaker in Donnie Darko (it was a small role, but he sure did make a convincing creep!)

Charlize Theron was also bad in Monster, Michael Caine in Quills and the Stallone remake of Get Carter, John Lithgow on Season 4 of Dexter, and Kevin Bacon in X-Men: First Class.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Liam Neeson in Batman Begins yet.

Never seen any of those movies except First Class, and I didn't think he was particularly awesome as a bad guy in that. In the end though, my favorite Kevin Bacon performance was in Stir of Echos.
