What are some good movies with actors usually known as good guys playing bad guys?

He was much, much better in Magnolia.

Hell, I think think he was better in Tropic Thunder than in Collateral.

Haven't seen Magnolia. I've seen scenes with him in it and he seems great.

I did like him better in Tropic Thunder though. I was just nice for me to see Cruise playing someone different and not the hero stuff. I really dug his character.

Watch it when you get a chance. Pretty interesting film, and Cruise does give a damn good performance in it. All around good cast in my opinion.

Isn't it about inter crossing lives with strange events happening or something. I would really like to see it, but the length puts me off somewhat. How does the pacing feel?
